Actually, I'm going to have laser cataract surgery done on both eyes. I was wondering about the difference between regular scalpel surgery and laser, since laser is highly recommended. Even though the cost is higher for laser, thru my online research and talking to the surgeon's assistant, laser is much, much better. Healing time is much faster and the laser is more accurate than the hand/scalpel is.
Wife and I have talked to a few people who have had the laser and their sight is darn near-to-100% perfect now. That's what we want for me and have to get it before my wife quits her job (for our move) and the vision insurance ends.
But, what helps us both right now is the clip-on sunglasses and clip-on yellow night glasses. The headlight glare from new vehicles is really, really bad. The yellow clip-on's definitely help.
