Last time you wore high heeled shoes?

In my early 20s I worked for law firms. Had to dress for the job both in dress and shoes w/of course no clothing allowance or great pay despite the knowledge one had or the interference one ran or deadlines we had to meet as attys waited til the last minute on a deadline.

I was young then and could handle the heels. No one made me wore heels but with dresses they fit. I did wear flats on occasion.

Could not wait to get any heel off, even low heels when I got home though.

As the years went on, much the same, with some outfits, heels went along, depending on length of dress or if pants, etc.

Tropical trips I loved a not high heel, but medium heeled sandal and took more than a few with. The ones with ankle straps or a toe circle, etc. Loved the shoes.

With age though, feet change and no more. One day they can be this size and the next day that size. Comfort and safety are more important and wearing shoes like that that stuffed your toes down from into a high heel probably played in. I DID like an attractive shoe though in my day.

I don't know about anyone else but I feel like I had my fun in life and I don't regret it and dressed in the fun stuff, the heels, the dressy stuff, the sassy stuff, the subtly sexy stuff.

These days it is comfort. I could say sadly but I'm not sad about it. My feet hurt in those heels just to look nice :)

Around 2016 was the last time I wore
a true pair of high heel shoes. Heels
were two inches and my balance felt
unsteady. I've always loved high heel
shoes since in my 20's. In 2016, I was
62 years old. I wore them often and
probably too often. That though was
mostly in my 40s to late 40s.

My faves were this style, mine always black or red 😊

I always called those hooker heels. And. I. LOVED.them!!

I probably had 50 pair but gave all but three pair (basic colors) to Goodwill in 2003, when I semi retired and moved to Tennessee.

The only heels I have these days are my Ariats that are leather and I wear on the tractors. I can barely walk in those clunky things🤠🤠

Hooker heels. Yep loved them too ;)

A couple of months ago. I went to a black tie event and had a really kick-ass dress, so I decided to buy a pair of high heels (3" heels) to look good. They didn't feel bad in the shoe store. I looked good, but my feet were in AGONY the entire night. Finally, I gave up and just took my shoes off and walked around barefoot.

Note: I wasn't the only one barefoot......

Next time I have to dress up, I'm wearing dressy FLATS.
My older daughter, for her graduation ceremony 2 years ago, bought high heels, probably about 3 inches, too. She of course got to the ceremony a bit early. My younger daughter and I were walking in and noticed barefoot footprints outside the auditorium. Who walks around in December, in North Dakota, in bare feet? We agreed they were probably from some hung over university student who couldn't find their shoes (or something like that) trying to find their way home.

Nope. They were from my older daughter. The heels were so uncomfortable she whipped them off and walked in her stocking feet. šŸ˜„(She put the shoes back on for the ceremony.)

I've always been pretty tall and thus have never worn heels. I've always stuck to flats.

It’s probably was 15 years ago. They were beautiful - black Italian leather with a little red bow angled off of the front. It was for an afternoon event and I could barely walk in them. It wasn’t me it was the freshly polished wooden floors. I came home and put them in the donation box.

I had mostly weaned myself off heels while working. They were hurting. My clothes never did look quite as good as when wearing them.

I’ve always loved high heels, going from 6ā€ stilettos to 3ā€ as the years passed and sadly had to stop due to arthritis in hips and back, it’s now either flats or low wedges

The last time I wore them was at Christmas lunch in a local hotel in 2019, before COVID took off, Iā€˜ve now given all my high heels to a charity shop, except for a lovely black suede pair, I just cannot part with them !
