Latest fad for comparing scars on social media

People never fail to amaze me, I've just read in my newspaper about a new mother, who'd had a baby by caesarean section, ripping off her wound dressing to show off her scars for 'likes' on social media !

A doctor warns this is really quite dangerous as it could lead to sepsis and the charity Sepsis Research says 'This is alarming, for the sake of an ego trip on social media, the baby could lose it's mother and a father could lose their partner'.....😱
 

That’s just crazy. I have a friend whose mother died from septic shock this past summer. It doesn’t just take a person’s life, it makes you suffer first. I went with him to visit her one time. She was on heavy doses of pain medication. She wasn’t even able to speak.
 
One night when I was still on patrol, I was in the Barracks doing paperwork when another Trooper came to me and told me to check out a video on YouTube. I watched in amazement as the video showed a young man and lady shooting up Heroin.

The Trooper immediately called YouTube (Google) and had it removed.
 
That young woman sounds like she is aiming for a Darwin award, which is given posthumously to someone who has done us all a favor by removing themselves from the gene pool. The sad thing in this case would be that she'd be leaving behind an innocent baby.
 
Everything has to be shared on social media these days. Apparently, they feel that everyone wants to know how you're feeling, what you're eating, what you're doing...….at all times.

I have acquaintances who post pictures every time they go out to eat, have a drink, etc. It clogs up my Facebook something fierce, but I don't want to block them in case there's anything "important". So far, there hasn't been but hope springs eternal.

I do plead guilty to once posting a picture of a salad I was eating, but only because it came with a large deep-fried crab perched on top and I thought that was pretty funny.....
