I have been reading several op-Ed pieces and editorials in many newspapers across the U.S. It certainly appears that many citizens, business owners and protesters have filed both single and class action lawsuits due to the many protests since March. I would think that Seattle, Chicago and New York are among the worse cities with the most numbers of lawsuits pending.
I am not an attorney, so when it comes to litigation, I have no clue as to who is within their right. What I do know is that there has been a lot of damages
(in the millions), a lot of injuries and many deaths, some as young as under a year old.
So, all politics aside, I believe that we can all agree on one thing and that is that someone is going to pay. Maybe even to the extent that some cities may be facing bankruptcy after paying attorneys millions of dollars to defend their cases. And that’s who is going to come out on top. The lawyers.
