Learning How To Live Life

Morning. I did some interesting reading on the Lume deoderants. Turns out I may be having an allergic reaction to the products in it. So I think I'll go back to my other one.

I got the bed bug video watched and learned something new. There is a bug that looks almost identical to the bed bug called a bat bug. I found that interesting. The Orkin guy in the video said that bed bugs are an epidemic right now for pretty much everyone nationwide. That's sad. They discussed a few options on things that could be done to help keep things more isolated.

Having some coffee and getting ready to do a breathing treatment. I got a little more sleep last night but still too stuffy for my cpap therapy. Feel a little better after just the one day of antibiotic so far.

The unit was a filthy mess when I returned as I knew it would be. Slowly working to rectify that. I just can't believe how some of them can get away with not cleaning hardly at all. I did one thing one time and was threatened with being let go. The unit was disgusting when I got there yesterday. *SMH*

Today is gonna be the last warmer day for a bit. We're looking at highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s with a couple days of snow flurries forecast for the next 7 days. Bout time. I was starting to wonder if we were gonna have winter this year.

I was having a hard time breathing last night so I might use the cpap before bed just for the extra air. Sleeping with it when I'm sick just seems to worsen my problems. I'll get back to it when I'm well enough.

I hope everyone has a lovely day.

They have 9 holds in my unit today. I haven't been to the waiting area to see how bad it is yet. There's a gal that works up there sometimes that I don't like. She leaves around 5 so I'll wait til after our team out after supper.

I try to help keep morale up with humor and good deeds when the staff is grouchy. It seems to help some. I know sometimes the nurses put up with a lot.

Dinner time soon. Woohoo!

I hope you’re able to find a sit down job which will be easier on your body and your health. Hopefully you will get better soon.
I appreciate that but unfortunately nobody wants someone who doesn't have a lot of computer experience. I think they look at me and think I can't handle it. That's ok. When AI takes their jobs I'll still have mine. LOL! I talked with the boss some about the situation because I really don't wanna quit.

I actually like this job and want to work as long as I am able. She said when the time comes when I don't feel like I can handle the unit anymore to come and let her know and they will find me a smaller area to work in. I told her at that point the less populated the better.

However, if the Roflumilast does it's job, I might not get sick as much or as severely which will give me a better chance at surviving the ER for a while. I just wish I had the energy to exercise but it would just be too much. So far in the past 6 mo I've had 2 upper respiratory infections due to sinus infections.

Last one sent me to the ER but not admitted into the hospital and they didn't have to give me steroids. This time I caught it early so I'm on antibiotic now for 5 days and it will hang out in my system another 5. I think I won't need the ER this time. No Covid or RSV so far (knock wood).

I could become a patient sitter but I'm not really interested in something of that nature. Mainly because sometimes you have to sit in a room with an isolation patient all gowned, gloved and masked up. That would be a very bad idea for me.

Last night I was watching tv and discovered a gnat had gotten inside and was on the back of the screen just sitting there. It's about to make me nuts. They suggested waiting for it to die and dry up and then tap the screen to get it to fall down. Otherwise I'm stuck with it in there. 😒

I got most of my dishes done last night. I was so exhausted after work. I might have a bed bug room and a cdiff room to clean today. Maybe. It depends on whether or not dayshift gets it done.

I was able to get a little sleep with the cpap machine last night. Still ended up sleeping without it some cuz of congestion. I am gonna hafta go back to my silicone masks. The foam covered ones are trash. The first one I used already has a tear in the foam and is leaking. They're supposed to last a month. I've had it a little over a week.

I'm looking forward to my turkey day dinner at work tomorrow. 😁 I'm off Friday and plan to do some gaming.

So I don't get started at work til 3. And at 2:30 I'm in getting into my scrubs. The gal that does the unit for days doesn't leave til almost 3. The bed bug room was open to clean 2 and she left it for me.

So nice of her. 🙄 Lazy people at work make me mad.

Going to supper break soon.

Lazy people who repeatedly leave their work for others, are the most aggravating kind of lazy people. 🤨

That was very funny, your comment in an earlier post, above;
that the people who get the computer jobs now, will not have them later on..... when AI takes their jobs but not yours. ☺️😄

Good punch line there.😊🤩

I try. 😁

Morning everyone. Sinuses still bugging me but I slept like a rock for 6 hrs. Well, that is if rocks got up in the night to pee. LOL!

I just got done having some buttered toast with my coffee which I'm still slurping on. I won't have my helper at work today so I won't be pushing myself too hard since it's the holiday. The ER staff will likely have snacks about and they usually offer me some. Most of the time I don't bother with the stuff. I'm already a butterball. LOL!

Depending how I feel when I get home I might start on one of my new games. I will be eating a free meal at work and I plan to pay $10 for another meal for tomorrow at home. We get a longer lunch break at Thanksgiving and Christmas. A whole 45 min woohoo!

I'm sure the docs will have football playing on their computers at work so I can check scores now and then.

I guess last Sunday the Chiefs won despite having their first touchdown taken away from them. I couldn't watch it. I got so mad I turned it off.

A little warmer today with a high of 51. Might get a little snow/rain mix from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday. Then Monday we could see a few flurries.

The gnat in the tv is still alive. He moved a little last night when I flicked the screen. They say online it can live up to a week in there. Oy!
