Learning How To Live Life

@Ruthanne yes I will have to do things to keep myself from getting sore. I know the chairs they give them are God awful to sit in. Might have to invest in my own chair. There's a lady at the clinic that has her own chair. I will have to exercise at home too. Once I'm not having to kill myself at work I'll have the energy to take better care of my physical health.

I hear you about getting your own chair! I've thought of doing that, too. Can't afford it right now but will some day hopefully. I'm sitting on this hard wooden chair and my ribs in the back are starting to hurt...go figure...it's the only time that happens is in this awful wooden chair. I need to take better care of my physical health too. Maybe I'll find some youtube videos for beginners seniors exercises in the chair. It's hard for me to get down on the floor, and then getting back up is a trip! lol

Take care!

sweetie they have standing exercises on youtube. those are probably better for ya.

Maybe you should look into remote jobs for gamers. Since you know about playing games online that would be a plus. You do all the work online from home. I found this but there are other types of jobs. "Remote customer support representatives assist players with technical issues, account problems, and other game-related concerns. They provide support through email, chat, or phone, and may also create support documentation. The average salary for a remote customer support representative is between $30,000 and $50,000 per year. To get started, develop strong communication and problem-solving skills, and gain experience in the gaming industry."

@katlupe with that pay grade I'm sure it's something that requires a college degree. I have found it difficult to find work from home stuff that doesn't require college education or a full office set up. My skills are limited. I am either going to wait and see if I can get a job as a unit secretary on one of the floors in the hospital or a registrar job at one of the clinics.

I think I would like the unit secretary job because you basically answer the call lights for the patients and direct visitors. Sometimes you assist patients with certain things and you take the little machine around and do inventory so someone can stock supplies. I thank you though. I wish I could do something that pd that much every year. LOL

Morning everyone. Two days til the weekend. Yay!

Having a few mild side effects from the Roflumilast but if I can stick it out they should subside after 4 wks of being on it. And in the long run they'll be good for my lungs.

Yesterday was busy and exhausting in ED so I'm hoping today will go better. They were full up last night. Had a last minute isolation room to clean and UV since they didn't know what the patient had for sure. It was something airborne and they left the door to their room wide open all night. They're quite the bunch sometimes. They couldn't follow the rules if their own lives depended on it.

I still hear some of them saying they don't give a sh*t about Covid anymore but they also didn't lose someone to it. It's hard for me not to speak up when I hear it.

Anyway, got a text from my friend that's on vacation right now. He was checking on me. I think he's getting bored and a little lonely. LOL!

Taking an Uber to work then catching a ride home with one of the girls from work later. Might be riding into work and back home with another coworker Friday. I hate not having my own car. Next month I will look into pulling my 401k and seeing if I can buy a car.

Off to read the newspaper. Have a great day!

Break time! I have the nurses station and med room to do and then I gotta go sweep the dust bunnies in the hall.

Then I'm done. I'll probably get done early cuz the rooms all full.

I sure hope Holly gets better soon. I like her. It's sad she was injured like that. People need to be more careful of others. I hope the person that hit her gets in trouble.

I guess they're getting us new debit cards at my bank so every place that does auto pay I have to let them know my new card info when it comes. What a pain!

I might watch old movies all weekend. Sounds like a plan to me. LOL!

We are finally seeing August type temps. Usually we are in the hundreds early on but this year it's later thank God.

Haven't seen a single wasp yet which is unusual. The fact that there's hardly any bugs worries me a little. What happens if they die off?

I don't like bugs but it might screw up our ecosystem. I haven't even seen any butterflies. Rollypollies or lady bugs.

Might be on after work.

I have plenty of wasps that somehow manage to get into the house. Flies are driving me crazy in the barn & the lightening bugs put on a good show this year. Also have some beetles with some big pinches that look like Egyptian scarabs.

I'll send you some if you want, LOL. ๐Ÿž๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿ•ท๏ธ๐Ÿœ๐Ÿ›๐Ÿ

No thanks! LOL! Have you had lots of rain this year?

Got my grocery delivery order in for between noon and 2 pm later today. I will probably treat myself to some take out just because. I ordered some ice cream too cuz it's gonna be over a 100 this weekend. Oy!

I gotta make me some Ramen before bed. Night my friends!

Groceries came and so did this...from Gambino's! ๐Ÿ˜‹

I ordered some new water bottles and some new travel coffee tumblers this time. Looks like I got some decent ones. I got some ice cream too since it's gonna be so hot this weekend. I got chocolate, cookie dough, birthday cake and coffee flavored. Just the 16 oz containers. Walmart brand of those costs less than $2.

I have a few dishes do and some hand washing to tend to but other than that...nada. ๐Ÿ˜ Trying to finish And Just Like That on HBO Max. Might read this afternoon.

We had quite a bit of rain several weeks ago, but now it's been sporadic. Just had a storm go through & we had 3/4" total. I hope we get some more later this week.
I wonder if the rainfall has something to do with the bug population? We've been in drought conditions here.

Not sure, but the only thing I see a difference in with less rain is fewer mosquito's. I have noticed that when we have consistent below zero temps in the winter for several weeks, the next summer is pleasant with fewer bugs. Last winter it got cold, but the length we needed to get rid of bugs.

I don't know what part of the universe you're in but around here our winters never get cold enough for long enough except for the past couple where the temps were fairly extreme. Dangerously cold. That may have an affect but over the past few years I've seen fewer and fewer bugs. Pesticides could be to blame as well.
