Learning How To Live Life

I finished up my shift. We said goodbye to a 75 yo coworker who is retiring for good this time tonight. Pretty sure dementia is starting in with that one. But I gave her a hug and tried to send her off with a good memory anyway. She was nice and fun when she wanted to be but man she was a grouchy PITA at times.

I came home and played one match of Fortnite duos but the guy I was playing with didn't do well as a team. Needless to say we lost. I then played a solo match and got a kill or two and then took second place. I got sooooooooo close to getting a Victory Royale.

I watched the new episode of School Spirits. Gonna play a little Cabernet before bed. Night.

Good morning friends!
Thank you @Kaila. I hope so too cuz my hand hurts so bad.

I got my shampoo and conditioner with colloidal oatmeal. I ordered some other oatmeal products with my groceries. Plus I read online that showering with the Nizoral would help the rest of my body with whatever is going on. I couldn't find a body wash for psoriasis.

I also read that Augmentin can cause all over fungal infections. They suggested taking a probiotic to balance out the bacteria again. So I have some chewable acidopholis coming on Saturday. One way or another I'm getting rid of whatever this is. I've always been prone to yeast issues as I inherited that from my mother. I suppose it's possible the augmentin triggered this. If nothing works I will hafta see a dermatologist. Trying to avoid that for now. Mainly cuz I can't afford it.

I've never had this happen before so I am trying to figure out what is going on, on my own. If I can't get it resolved I will see someone.
I just get sick of going to drs and then everyone wants me to come back every 6 months even if I don't need to. That costs me a small fortune every year.

Gonna start my car mechanic simulator today when I get home. Thoroughly enjoying my Cabernet game. It's pretty interesting. I'll try to get some screen shots of the game from the tv. Y'all hafta see her in bat form. It's hilarious. She's been sent to live in the mansion where the dr that turned her into a vampire is. And last night I put her into her night gown and tucked her into her coffin. LOL!

There's supposed to be a way to decorate her room and change the furnishings and her coffin but I haven't figured out how to set that yet.

What a hoot! :p ๐Ÿ˜

That doesn't sound like good news.....
unless you find it a relief in some way.?
well i'm not really in a place to afford surgery but it may be necessary. i spoke with my boss about it and got some info i needed so if it comes to it they may be able to set me up with some light duty so i don't hafta be out long. online it said 4-6 wks off if you do hard labor. plus some PT for it i think.

well, i am sad to report this 3rd shot isn't doing anything. after i get my taxes done i will hafta see a surgeon & get something done about this. i guess no new furniture or blinds for me. ๐Ÿ˜ข and depending on what i end up owing for taxes i'll likely need to apply for financial assistance to pay for the surgery. i'm just so disgusted with life in general right now.

if i hafta have finger surgery i'm gonna try to do the awake one but i'm gonna see if they can give me something to relax me so i don't freak out. they said they can either cut it open or use a needle. i'm gonna talk to the surgeon about both. one is easier to get into than the other. i think the one maybe does larger more involved surgeries. i think my boss will work with me without any issue.

she said if they are very detailed on what my restrictions are they can probably accomadate me for light duty such as doing inspections on the rooms that get cleaned. my work cart is light enough that if i take some of the stuff out of it i could easily push it around. i think there's a closet i could put my stuff in temporarily. it would be at least 4 wks before i could possibly return to my regular duties. they talk about using gauze bandages for the wound but it's in such an odd place i'm not sure how one would get that in place and get it to stay.

maybe some self adhesive bandage wrap would work. there's some on amazon i could order.

i kept going to my new friends stream and playing fortnite with them but nobody would talk to me in stream chat and they would hog all the loot. they would have like 4 or 500 bullets and i have like 40. one of the gals friended me and when i invited her to play she supposedly didn't see it. every time i was on she would set herself on away. so i said the hell with it and wiped the slate clean.

i reinstalled valorant and will give that a try. i am reinstalling call of duty and i will just play solos if i hafta. i got all my shooters on a 1 tb storage card and all my cozy games and assassins creed: rogue on the 512 gb card. reason being is when they update the shooters it takes up more storage space. most of the time i have all voice chat comms turned off. i use whatever in game comms are with the controller settings to ping stuff or request things i need if i'm playing with others. supposed to play with a former coworker tonight. maybe.

rather than spend a bunch of money every month on cosmetic skins (ie: characters) i got the fortnite crew subscription. i will get new skins each month a lot cheaper than trying to buy from the shop. it's like $12 a month. whereas a person can easily spend a couple hundred buying them individually in the shop. plus they give you some in game currency each month. if i save that up i can buy from the shop at times. won't cost me a dime that way.

Marci, I had it in both thumbs & every once in a while I'll get it in a finger. So far it's not a constant thing which I'm happy for.

My R thumb was popping when I was schedule for carpel tunnel & my doc said he would take care of it. About a week after that appointment it locked up & was like that until surgery. I had one shot in my L thumb which helped for a short time, but later that year it started up again. He offered another shot, but I decline & opted for surgery to get rid of it which at the end of the year of my CT surgery. I already had my co-pay maxed out & I didn't want to put off to the new year & start over again.

I did go back to sleeping with my CT braces at night because my wrists were getting sore. When I do that, I don't have a problem during the daytime. That seems to work for me.

I have compression gloves & the thumb brace as well. I wore the finger brace along with my CT brace before surgery. I got all of them at Walmart & they are made by Ace. The CT brace didn't help with the thumb & vice-versa so I managed to get them all on & snugged down & it worked.

My CT surgery definitely helped me because the carpel tunnel was causing me problem with my should which I thought was a completely different issue. Just before surgery my doc sent me to have an EMG done & I was talking to the doc who did it. During our conversation I mentioned the shoulder issue & pain with it at night. He told me that I had severe Carpel Tunnel & that was related to it. I asked how & he said your nerves are all connected. He also said the surgery should end that issue & a week after surgery he was right.

Before surgery if I had laid on my right side, I would wake up in severe pain & was unable to move myself using my right arm. I would have to reach over with my left & shove myself on my back. After laying there for a while, the pain went away & I could use my arm/shoulder again.

Turns out I only have 4 1/2 weeks of eto and illness bank hours together. So not enough time for surgery recovery but I'm still gonna have a consultation with the surgeon and see what he says.

If I run out of time off they can replace me. Boss tells me she has arthritis real bad but chooses to ignore it like I'm supposed to do the same. Good grief.

Caught a couple of the gals talking about me this evening too. ๐Ÿ™„
