morning. trying to ice my left hand because my trigger finger is so swollen today. i have an appt with the ortho doc on the 24th of april to get it xrayed and get a steroid shot in it. i can't get anymore in the right hand but the left is new so i'm ok.

my electric can opener came before 10. i'm debating on paying for the service on the ring app so it will save videos it captures in case i miss an alert while i'm in the middle of something.

here lately i've been finding the site a bit stifling. i hate being made to feel bad for being here and not doing things according to how everyone else thinks i should. i feel like everyone has the right to enjoy this site without being given a hard time. rant over.

it will be 72 today with a low of 47 tonight. having my coffee now and doing my tens therapy. i've been using the tens and the ems sections on the unit because they are both good for different purposes.

yesterday at work we had a psych patient that was causing problems in one of the bathrooms. they finally had to get a camera put on them and escort them to and from the bathroom. i finally asked them if they could do something cuz i didn't have time to spend all night cleaning that bathroom repeatedly. *giggles*

they're not having anything i can eat tonight on the line at work so i guess i'll have salad and a baked potato. maybe a veggie if it's something i like and can eat.

i sent an email to the kaya naturals place about the joint care supplement i received because the seal had been torn off deliberately. i requested an explaination as to why this happened. the gummies are a little dried out but at $10 a bottle i can't afford to toss them.

i guess according to the boss we are going to be getting some extra training soon on something. not sure what. maybe what they were talking about to make us evs techs instead of associates. we can earn more $ that way too. plus she thinks they'll respect us more. lol!

this month is the start of our annual mandatory state testing we do online so i'll be busy working on that cuz i like to get it done! the others use excuses at work because they try to do them at work during a shift and i can't cuz i don't have that kind of time. plus i can't concentrate with all the racket around me so i do mine at home off the clock. i don't care. there's so many of them and they are always adding more every year. if they aren't done by the deadline in november they will take you off the schedule and you hafta come in and sit down and do the tests before you can go back to your job.

morning.

i've been busy icing my left hand cuz my finger is so swollen it's killing me. icing it helps a little. we are set to receive severe weather today and friday we are in for the possibility of tornados because of the temp changes this week. they dip way down and back up and it's messing with the air. friday's high will be 80 and then the low will be 38.

made some dinner last night after i hung my laundry to dry. didn't get to the dishes. will do those tonite. i watched watson while i ate dinner after work and then watched schitt's creek til bedtime. the son is my favorite character on there.

if the weather is bad when i get home i might just read til bedtime. or play my game on my phone or both. we'll see.

we have contracted help at work because we don't have enough staff. but one of the gals with a disability keeps going and sitting on her butt and playing on her phone. she's been making tik tok videos instead of working. and they won't reprimand her, write her up or fire her. instead they are threatening to pull our contracted help from us and make us go back to doing the work of 3 people each shift.

then the cleaning suffers even more because we don't have rhe time to do it. it makes me angry cuz nobody should be allowed to do that. disability or not. that's bs. i wish i could say something to her without getting in trouble. she's lazy. that's her biggest issue. plus she's an ahole. some of the stuff she says is just horrible. she's not a nice person at all.

a gal i used to work with left a voicemail this morning. she wants me to call her but i messaged her and told her i'd call her when i get back from town thursday. reason being we usually talk for 2 hrs when we're on the phone.
 
Two of the new kids ran outta work so I had them clean the lobby to the unit for me.

I try to avoid them cuz they're overly sensitive and tattle all the time. They keep trying to get everyone in trouble.
 
Anymore no matter where you are you can't do or say anything without some getting all puffed up and bent outta shape.

Personally I think the world as whole needs to take one big collective breath and calm the hell down.

My God! They get upset over the tiniest little thing. When did people become such babies?
 
well, i have a dilemma. ace hardware is just a few blocks from me. however, their drills are $50. and the staff isn't very knowledgeable so idk if they can be trusted to help me get the drill bit i need for the siding. menard's is clear across town and would cost around $12 to get there by uber but the cheapest drill was $30 and the help might be more knowledgeable. so i am torn. i don't feel like going clear across town.

so now i'm debating on waiting til my next weekend off and going to menard's. i barely slept and i'm too tired to go across town and deal with it today. i would rather have more reliable help finding things. ace is kinda crappy for service. i feel like i'm never gonna get that damn doorbell hung.

part of me just wants to go back to bed. i don't know if it's cuz of the pain but i honestly don't feel like dealing with anything these days. maybe i'm having another run of depression or something. idk.

i had to google it but i made it through the first puzzle in the greenhouse in botany manor. i'm half tempted to start over. lol! i started sugardew island and worked a little on my stardew valley farm.

i've been using that nsaid gel for pain relief and frankly the stuff isn't doing a thing for my pain. i'm very disappointed with it.

i think i'm gonna go back to bed for a bit.

i watched an episode of moonshine on amazon freevee. talked with my friend on the phone for a bit. i was surprised that she called ME to talk. she was actually checking on me. 😲

i have a few dishes to finish and a shower to take. but here in a few, i'm gonna play some video games. plus a game on my wishlist is on sale. likely going to buy it. and then play it.

not sure what i'm making for supper just yet.
 
If I may ... isn't the siding in which you are drilling some kind of masonry? If so, you want a drill bit that is labeled "masonry". I suggest you take one of the screws in with you to decide the size of the bit. Most hardware stores have a board with holes in it that you can use to size the screw. Do not go larger! If in doubt, go with a smaller bit than the screw size.

If the store employees aren't helpful, ask another customer. No kidding. Sometimes they have been more helpful than an employee. Hang around by the screws and watch for someone who appears to know what they are looking for. I have had pretty good luck doing that.

yes i looked it up. it's on my phone which drill bit i need and i fully intended to take the screws with me. it says you can use a regular bit on it but it will wear the bit down and with the right bit i will get a cleaner hole. i will get it figured out. if worse comes to worse i may hafta find a handyman in town and have him do it. one way or another it's getting installed. lol!

played my new game for a bit. watched a little tv. took another nap. took a shower. still haven't decided on dinner yet. i keep getting into cross contaminated foods at work so my rash is bugging me again. i think i'm gonna hafta go all meat, potato, veggie and fruit in order to avoid issues. it's very frustrating. either that or the rash will continue to haunt me for several months like the pain will. the rash is also considered inflammation. *sighs*

that and the self stick tens unit pads are irritating my skin. idk at this point. hell it's probably both. trying to patiently wait this out.

Morning peeps. It's my 3 day weekend to work. Off Monday. Spent a lot of time sleeping yesterday. I got stuck on a quest in Palia so I'm trying to search Google for help with it. I'm getting too frustrated to bother with it if I continue on like this.

I played some Forest Camp Story yesterday as well. I wanted to play some Minecraft last night but I was getting tired.

I took a melatonin and disappeared into the night. LOL! I keep trying to use my cpap. I can for a few hrs then I hafta take it off. Last night it dried my mouth out and sent me into a 20 minute coughing fit. Not pleased with that.

I started on a couple free movies last night but ended up turning them off to go do other things. I have another sink full of dishes again for tonight. I wish I could afford a housekeeper. LOL!

I have a ride to work but will hafta use Uber to get home. A work friend who recently had trigger finger surgery comes back today. Hopefully I'll get to have dinner with her.

I'm so angry tonight. I have spent 4 days on this one stupid quest on Palia just for the game to glitch out and not let the letter I dug up show up in my inventory so that the quest would be done and I would get my rewards. I have spent hours upon hours playing this 🤬 game just to have it glitch out. I tried logging out and signing back in and still nothing.

I finally said the hell with it tonight and uninstalled the game. I'm done. I wanted to play something else but I was so annoyed I shut the Xbox off.

Long day. Watching tv now.
