Learning How To Live Life

the neighbor was here for a bit doing something. now she's gone again.

i hopped into call of duty and adjusted some settings. might try them out tonight after work. i also went into fortnite and adjusted the deadzones on both controller sticks. then i tested it out in my creative island. i think i got it fixed. will see once in game again.

having some food before work. maybe i can just have a snack during dinner break. i gotta do all my own linen deliveries today cuz it's my helpers day off. *pouts*

hopefully it won't be a bad day.
 
I'm hungry and there is nothing good to eat in my house. I don't feel like going to the store. Meh!

Went into Second Life and ran into an old friend I had blocked for the last two years and recently unblocked. All he wanted to talk about was sex.

He doesn't seem to care that I am happily married and don't want to talk about his sex life. I was as polite as I could be and then made an excuse and left, even though - I didn't want to leave Second Life - just my conversation with him.

I'll have to go back on later and block him again. I've known him online for 20+ years and he's a good guy overall - just very lonely. Yet he rejects any of my suggestions about getting out there and meeting someone. In truth, after not speaking for 2 years, he does seem to have reached out a little bit - joining a meetup group. I wish him luck.

I used to be that way. Now that I'm older sometimes I'm too mentally exhausted to play after work.

Last night I had a bed bug room to clean. Orkin comes and sprays and it has to sit for 2 to 4 hrs and then I clean it. By then everything is dead. There was a second room but it will be sitting until Monday now. Orkin won't come out on weekends or after hours.

Then last night I got to worrying about the new neighbor. Hope she's not bringing bugs with her. She has 2 trash trolleys. I hope she doesn't have a kid or I'm gonna be ticked at the landlord. Kids are not quiet. Landlord didn't say anything about her being with anyone.

So I was watching a streamer friend playing Modern Warfare 3 last night. Looked kinda fun so I hopped on the xbox and discovered it was also free so I downloaded it. I will give it a try.

It will be around 70 today. Still chilly tonight. Then we get a couple days in the 80s and then Tues & Wed is to be in the 50s with lows in the 30s in May... šŸ¤Ø
 
So with the last Uber app update they have now fixed it so if I give my driver a star rating it will automatically tip them. I have no opt out of the tip or a way to change how much. So I won't be giving anymore star ratings. I think that's pretty crappy of them if you ask me. I didn't know it until it was too late last time.

I'm very frustrated today because all winter it was so busy I could barely get the rooms cleaned in the unit. It has not slowed down one bit.

I worry I will get wrote up cuz the rooms aren't clean because I can't deep clean with patients in there and every frickin time a room empties out and I try to go in and clean it I get kicked out so they can bring another damn patient in.

I'm starting to get angry because I don't know wth to do. If I go to the supervisor she will say derogatory things and try to make me feel like sh*t so idk what to do.

My rooms get the most traffic cuz they're at the front where all the serious stuff is.

I'm just completely irritated right now.

It sounds like it's not productive or positive, to go to that supervisor.

You're doing the best you can do, and that is good enough!
It's actually all that anyone could do.

Clean them as much as possible, the best you can, during those short intervals.

In other words;
just continue to do what you've been doing.šŸ¤©

(And try not to worry. šŸ„°)

Not feeling much like a Jedi this morning. I wish I could swallow a bottle of melatonin and sleep for a week. Maybe 2 wks. I'm definitely pumping myself with caffeine today.

Yesterday I was in a nasty mood at work. I was ok until a few minutes in. I went down to the linen room to get linens for CT and the ambulance bay. The charge was gonna take linens to the sleep house. I didn't know he had picked a cart. He wasn't there when I came in so I grabbed the one with the insert that keeps them at my level instead of me practically falling into the other one to reach the bottom.

First thing he does is walk in and ask me if I'm taking his cart. I said I took A cart but I had no idea it was his. I said there's another one right there and pointed. He said well I wanted that cart so I don't hafta bend over. I said so I'm supposed to just give you this cart so I hafta bend over? I said sure. I guess I'll just hafta get over it since you called subliminal dibs on it. Then he was all wanting to give me the cart and I was like nope.

Then about an hour later I called him to check the lobby and make sure it was clean enough cuz we hafta do that every day. And he tells me he got a call about the closet down the hall where they keep a UV light that the floor was dirty.

I asked him who called him and he told me it was one of the other housekeepers. I said well if she's a housekeeper why can't she clean it? He said well she didn't have her cart with her. I said well she can go get it and come back down the hall and clean it like I did that one night. I was like why do I hafta clean it? But I did it but I was getting madder by the minute.

Then I was gonna swap the linen carts out but the dayshift gal writes down that she is giving them 40 top sheets for the beds when in reality she's only putting on 20. Then I end up having to give them 3 carts a night. Or go down and bring up extra top sheets.

So between all that plus not being able to get into the rooms to clean I was so mad last night I was about ready to just throw my crap on the floor and leave. I'm hoping today will go better.

In the ER it doesn't work like it does on the floors. We have one housekeeper...me. And there's too much traffic for me to go in and clean the rooms top to bottom between each patient. The nurses use sanitary wipes to wipe the mattress and the crap they hook up to you and the bedside table and counter. Just the basic surfaces.

I can only go in and wipe the sink and check the paper towels and mop if the patient says it's ok for me to do all that. If not I hafta wait til they get discharged. So if I'm over cleaning room A top to bottom and meanwhile BCDEF get discharged, I can't clean fast enough to get all those done when there's lets say 20 people in the lobby waiting to be seen as well as ambulances bringing in more. It's not that they are being placed in a room that is never cleaned. It's just not possible to clean the entire room between each patient.

I hope that makes sense.
