Learning How To Live Life

Hope your weather didn't turn bad today, Marci.

We had 3" of rain today & the one morning downpour filled the rain gauge with 2" of it. There was a little thunder/lightening, but nothing serious and no winds. Now they claim it's supposed to be dry for the through Monday ... their track record hasn't been great so far with their forecasting.

I got everything mowed yesterday which is needed badly. Parts of the yard was soft & muddy, but I didn't get the mower stuck. We now have standing water in those mucky places & I really need it to be dry so I can mow again. With all of the rain, the grass is growing too fast.

So far nothing today. Not sure about overnight. We don't get nearly enough rain anymore and we need it. I'm fortunate the landlord mows for us.

Hope it dries out for ya.

morning. for someone paying $850 a month for rent i'm very surprised she doesn't work more. seems like she's home an awful lot. it looks like she only works a couple days a week. i find it hard to believe she's making that good of money as a nurse aid in a nursing home. her car was gone all night so it must have been in the shop. they have it back now. so far i've been able to get sleep in the mornings. thank the Lord.

fortnite did an update last night so when i get home from the docs office i will get my game updated and go check things out. they always have a basket of used aa batteries at work and they're not dead so i bag em up and bring them home and use them in my xbox controller to play my games. otherwise they get thrown out. they had some d batteries that the portable fans use so i will see if any have any life left in them for my fan for my cart. it gets pretty warm in the summertime.

my checkup appt is at 3. hafta be there at 2:45. friday i'm taking an uber cuz the other kid has something. a cold or something so i'm not riding with him.

i might get the mushroom swiss burger from chili's later. sounds like a good plan. still waiting on the insurance to send my bill from that last steroid shot i got in my finger. it takes them forever.

it looks to be raining this morning. now they're saying thunderstorms through sunday. :(

Hope that appointment goes well for you, today.
doc was late and my appt went longer than expected cuz we were discussing getting extra bloodwork done after talking about my gluten issues. uber was super busy today so it was $31 round trip to and from the docs office. 🤯
he agreed to some extra bloodwork plus added a couple things so they drew 9 vials of blood. 😲 appt was at 3 but didn't get home til after 5. haven't eaten all day so i'm shoveling in some mcdonald's.

getting a thunderstorm at the moment so no tv or games just yet. maybe later. they put pickles on my burger. oh the inhumanity! 🤣 soon as i'm done feeding my piehole i'm getting into my jammies.

to top that all off i had checked to see if my uber app needed to be updated before i called for the ride to the clinic. no updates listed. while at the clinic trying to get a ride home the app kept wiggin out and closing. guess why? if you said update needed you get a 🍪

stupid phone

Sheesh!🙄😒
You told that, really well, though. 😊☺️

Today was pretty decent without rain & the sun was out. A few yards on the street had muddy grass from where the high water was. I didn't go down the road to the east where the road had been closed off yesterday cause of the high water to see if it's down. There's a stream down there that only floods when we a huge amount of rain like we just had.

I thought of you today Marci as I was sitting in ER with my husband who decided to trip in one of the stalls & landed in the barn aisle. One of the cleaning crew asked if they could pick up a few things & we said yea. After x-rays & a few stitches 4 hours later, he was released & we came home.

yeah, those er visits can be a real drag. glad he's ok??

i recall one summer carrying chickens and i fell in the coop and cut my thumb on something. i went inside, washed it with soap and water and sprayed it with bactine and threw a bandaid on. went to the dr for a tetnus shot but wouldn't let him touch it. i likely would've gotten gang green and still not let anyone touch it. lol

one good thing about the appt was doc and i had a rather interesting discussion about my gluten intolerance. we figured out that one of my symptoms might have been a symptom related to the stress of the celiac on my system and not necessarily a symptom of the celiac itself. i think he found it interesting that i researched it and tested myself with the gf diet. he asked me what made me look into that to begin with.

i don't think much of ai however, with proper research on the side of looking at ai information i think it is useful for certain things. i didn't just take ai's word for it when i typed in symptoms and it made suggestions. i looked into each thing and when i zeroed in on the gluten intolerance then i dove into all the info i could find on it.

Another good story that you told really well.
😉😊

But one thing you left out.
Approximately what age group, were you in, at that time?
It'll help me to visualize it,
and the age to stubbornness ratio.
😊😁

He's doing well. Wrist still hurts, but is in a brace. They said it wasn't broke, but want another x-ray in a week to check it again. He ended up with 6 stitches on his forehead & has raccoon style bruises around his eyes this morning. They started to turn last night, but today they are turning technicolor as he calls it. Pretty good humor, but is ticked that he tripped in the stall.

You sound like me when I get hurt & not going to the doctor ... I was like that then & still like that now. If I can walk or crawl away I'll be okay. If you catch me & stuff me in the ambulance, well I guess I have no choice but to go, LOL.

Hope everyone is doing well this morning. My sinuses are giving me a good amount of grief today. I used my sinus rinse today. A friend back home used hers every other day to keep her sinuses clear. I may need to start doing that.

Well it rained most of the night last night. The neighbor girl and daughter went to bed early so I wonder if she's working today. Surely she has to be cuz she's been off since Sunday.

I spent the evening binge watching more storm chasing stuff from another show on HBO Max back when one of the current chasers was young. Reed Timmer I think was his name. He now has the chase vehicle called the Dominator. He got the idea from the guy that drove the TIV around trying to make an imax film of severe weather.

I hopped on Fortnite long enough to see there wasn't much to the update and we're still on this stupid Star Wars season until June 5th. And maybe beyond that. If it would stop storming I might go play some more but whatever. I can't stand a lot of the themes they set up for the seasons on these games. Once in a while they get some fun ones.

I slept decent but still tired.

Amazingly it never got infected. Now if that happened I'd probably have a finger rot off.

Glad he's in good humor at least.
