When my microwave stopped working, I didn't replace it. Instead I bought a steamer which actually does much the same, just takes longer.

I use it to defrost bread and pieces of meat before cooking and sometimes to heat a meal that got cold oh lol and to heat coffee and tea that I forgot to drink when I'm too lazy to make a new cup. Don't tell the British.

You heat tea in a microwave! You zap British tea!! Outrageous behaviour!!!

@Kaila and @PeppermintPatty I didn't use plastic containers either. A long time ago, I even stopped using an alleged microwavable safe, hard plastic omelet maker.

That’s good. You shouldn’t be using any type of plastics in the microwave oven. It’s just not healthy. You are being smart to stop that.

I also use it to warm up my heat pads. They're made for it. They're not electric heat pads!

Ours gets more time for heat pads than anything else. Next would be reheating something. Once or twice a week maybe cook something. Always use glass containers.
