Legendary singer announces his final performance due to memory issues

Listening to the same LP of his since my parents bought it in the fifties.
They had bought a record player and kept it in our room, mine and my older sister. Then the records were bought in record numbers. 78s by sister and albums by parents. In jr. high I started buying. I still have them all.
I would like to sell them

hasn't he heard about auto-cues and other similar technology - could go on singing for ever - I think he is just bone dry tuckered out?
