I get these brochures in the mail about life line screening for heart disease, artery screening, abdominal screening, osteoprosis etc. for $149. nyone have any takes on these people? Scam or real?

IMO they do a great job for the money.

My PCP is also a believer.

IMO it's a great deal every five years or so until/unless you have an actual problem that requires constant monitoring.

We had this done several years ago when we didn’t have any insurance coverage, and they are very impressive in the thoroughness of the tests that they do.
They pick a place (ours was at a large hotel in one of the conference areas), and they have a suite of room that they set up for the different tests. You just go through from one area to the next and get all of the tests done and then they give you the results afterwards.
If they find something that they feel is life-threatening, they will tell you and call for an ambulance if needed, too. It is well worth the money.
Sam’s Club (and maybe Costco ?) also has a similar screening that they do every so often, and theirs is free. I have never gone to one of the screenings at Sam’s Club; so I do not know how thorough their screenings are comparatively.

Just what Bea said. I did one about 10 years ago when I was beginning to lose confidence in my primary care doctor and couldn't
find another I really liked.

Oddly enough, I just received my first solicitation from them yesterday. Opened it, glanced at it. I'll give it a further read today.
