If you are referring to that Western on TV and streaming video, I remember a few years back when they were showing trailers for it's first season. It disgusted me. It was just more and more violence. That's what they were selling in the trailers.
99 percent of the movies today are filled with personal violence. Gene Autry and Roy Rogers just shot people and they fell over. They did not spend 15 minutes of the movie telling the victim they were going to kill them and how painful it will be. We did not see the victim struggling, screaming in pain with blood spurting from their mouth. Personal Violence was very rare in films in the old days.
This country has become sick with its love for violence. The continuous violence of video games and movies has infected the minds of generations of the young who now accept violence as normal.
