Hey -- I'm glad to be here. -:) Would love to hear what you are doing in retirement or what your retirement plans are.

I had never traveled out of the country nor had I flown very much until AFTER I retired!

I've zip lined in Costa Rica, swam with the whale sharks in Cancun, and took a beautiful sunset cruise in Cabo San Lucas!
 

Heyy welcome Triple - A...you sound like you're having the time of your life in retirement.

I'm not retired yet, but hopefully I'll still be around to have as good a time as you when my retirement day comes along.. :D

Welcome from the central California mts. I'm glad you are enjoying life. We did more traveling before retirement due to my husband's job. We have spent some time in the area east of Atlanta and then went on some road trips up in the area Deliverance was filmed in. Tried boiled peanuts on one of our little trips. I'm the only one who did NOT like them. :) Do you?? GA is a beautiful state! What ages of children did you teach? My son teaches the last 3 years of high school in Sweden only over there they call it gymnasium I think.
 
I love peanuts but NOT boiled ones! I was a high school teacher. They say you know when you are ready to retire and I did! No regrets at all. I have been to California -- Long Beach and San Diego--did make it LA once! Thank you for the welcome!:)
