Transistioning to a senior with all of its challenges and having no family or friend support is hard.

Give it time.

I learned, in more recent times, that I *love* living alone. This was quite a shock, actually. I don't currently live alone, and the transition back to being a couple has been tougher than I could have imagined. Weird, isn't it?

I am awaiting that day myself, I tell myself my family is helping me transition to that day. Grandkids say my house is boring, no xbox, no amusement park trips, etc, my home is too small now (because I downsized it to fit my need to NOT do anything but clean). So slowly I see less and less of them. Lately it's we meet at a resturant... lol what happens if I can't drive one day? It's all in training for that ...well I am alone now day. Like you, I am glad I found SF for human contact as needed. May not be the real deal hugs, but I think it's going to help.

I've always pretty much been alone, except for just under two years in two marriages. I'm happier and more content alone and wouldn't change it for anything.
