Living In A Mortuary

I was newly married, going to college and serving a apprentiship as a Embalmer/Funeral Director. Wife and I had a very small apartment next door to the Embalming room. We slept on sheets that were clean but stamped with the name of different hospitals in the area. My now married grandmother daughter delights in telling people that she was conceived in a Funeral Home. We later moved to a small cottage behind the mortuary when my daughter was born, but we still slept on hospital sheets.

I doubt I would be able to live in a Funeral Home. I have enough trouble going to one when I have to. When I was a teenager a friend of mine invited me to a New Years Eve party at his Uncles.
Of course he forgot to mention his Uncle was a Funeral Director and he lived in the funeral home. We went and he had the food spread out in the embalming room. I didn't touch a thing ,told my friend I didn't feel good and we left. I still remember it like it was yesterday.:holymoly:
