Living near a busy road, highway, or in a city may cause dementia!

Air pollution, we know, leads to heart and lung diseases but now research is showing that it could also bring on dementia. I'm thinking about moving into the deep woods as I live very close to a main drag here...

My primary home is in the city and on a main street.. My 2nd home is deep in the country... As for dementia? I think I would lose my mind if I had to live in the country full time. I have that home up for sale.... I'll give ya a great deal on it Ralphy...

Thanks, but it is cold enough here and no matter where I live here a liquor store ain't so far away...:eek:nthego:

Ralphy, a hazmat suit is cheaper than moving.

I am not quite sure how it would cause dementia, unless the sound of the traffic drive you completely crazy!

The report on BBC did mention that noise also could be a contributing factor but more research was necessary. However, we know that contaminates from engine exhaust have impacted other parts of the body and the brain is now looking like it has been as well...

First create or raise the profile of a thing and then, having made it a matter of concern even though it quite probably isn't, raise the tax on it "for the public good".

It's a common ploy and works well where the "sheeple" are involved.

Maybe, but here we pay no sales tax on booze! That is a 7.5% savings and I buy it by the case!

So, living in a noisy area causes early dementia? I've spent over 2,000 nights in hotels over the past few years, many along busy highways, near truck stops, close to railroad tracks. I've spent the past 40+ years on and around construction sites with heavy equipment operating on a daily basis. Our home is located just a block off a major ambulance route. So, if noise causes early.....

What were we discussing? Where am I? Who are you??????

Would love to live in the country. Not practical for me. I'd really hate to live next to a freeway. Everything is killing us.

I can imagine the stress induced by incessant noise caused from living near a highway might do this.
