Imagine if dozens of history's most influential thinkers and doers could gather in one spot and regale you with stories of their accomplishments. Fifth-graders at Cambridge Heights Elementary School created just that scene last month in a project that brought the biographies of famous figures to life.
The event -- called a "living wax museum" -- transformed the Citrus Heights school's multipurpose room into a colorful, lively gallery, where children not only dressed like the people they studied -- everyone from Albert Einstein to Thomas Jefferson to Amelia Earhart -- but delivered succinct and spirited speeches in character.
