Those are all fantastic. I know it killed me to take some books I had bought new to our PAWS thrift store. Mainly cozy mystery series. But with no room and knowing I wouldn't read them again, off they went and hopefully someone was happy to find them.

This is pretty much how my livingroom used to look before we dispensed with the bookshelves ..I wish I never had..in fact in the last year I've been thinking of having the shelves back again..and put all along the back wall instead.. but with the uncertainty of whether I'm going to find a new home or not.. I'm just holding fire for now

Shag would be nice but I always think of how easy it is or isn’t to clean. With dogs especially, shag would be a no go for me.

Do you see those clay pots on top of the shelves in the photo above ^^... I had those same ones, I bought them about 30 years ago in Greece...
