Liz Truss Resigns

we're doing extremely fine with it.. couldn't have had better news for most of us.. but the concern is who is going to be leading the country this time next week..
This has never happened to Britain before. :(

Gosh, is this having a terrible and worsening rapid ripple effect, on the current situations which are already so difficult for the people?

I comprehend she was not the right person for the job, but no-one clearly and quickly poised for better success at it? I can't imagine the potentially massive effects.

From very very far away, I just find it hard to take Boris seriously. Isn’t there some mature, intelligent Royal who could step in & sort things out for a while?

Not so! 2022 minus sixty-seven equals 1955. In 1955 Winston Churchill, who had returned to power in 1951 as Prime Minister, resigned the office of PM through failing health. Churchill served as Prime Minister under King George the sixth throughout the war years. He served as Prime Minister under Queen Elizabeth from her ascension to the throne in February 1952 until his resignation in April 1955.
Therefore he has also served under two monarchs.
For someone who considers a monarchy an anachronistic hangover that's well past it's sell by date, I can be an annoying pedantic.

HC..april 67 years ago was when I was born.... I'm afraid to say if Churchill resigned the month and year I was born.. that is 67 years 8 months.. ago.. so in fact Truss has won that..I'm sorry to say..

Lets do the maths. sixty seven years ago the year was 1955. Churchill was prime minister under Queen Elizabeth the second. He was also prime minister from the tenth of May 1940 until the end of the war under George the sixth. Therefore Churchill has served under two monarchs within the timescale.
What I think you might be confusing is the 67 years. It has nothing to do with 1967, and another thing, you are far too youthful to have been born in 1967.
1967 indeed, you're so fanciful.
