My local swimming hole didn't have a diving board. It barely had water. If it had a diving board like in the above pic, ain't no way in hell would I jump off it. I'm terrified of heights. I'd freeze, and they'd never be able to pry my hands off the rail.

Jumping off of these falls when I was a kid is as close as I ever came to high diving.
They don't seem as high now as they did when I was young. We ignored the warnings from adults that knew from experience just how dangerous they could be. Over the years two young people have died from injuries suffered when they slipped and fell from the falls. Now I'm one of the folks issuing the warnings but young people need to experience things for themselves.
Be good... and if you can't be good, be careful!
