You'de have to question the capabilties of the architecs who were involved in the buildings design.
what direction,the windows were facing?
what angles were the window in relation the the sun at different times of day?
why wasn't test panels set up to equate & solve any problems that may occur?

How many eggs per minute can the cook?

Finally: Will they only melt Jaguars?

All that proves to me is. The amount of glass buildings in the world are contributing to global warming.

It was shocking to say the least, and where do they go from here? There are those who will probably blame it on Pres. Obama! It has to be his fault, don't ya know?

Mine haven't Jilly, have a secret about curtains and if you didn't notice then I must be getting away with it.
I put up plain cream plastic shower curtains on rings for privacy when I first moved in, until I could buy proper ones.
Nearly 3 years later they're still up, good as new, have to be inspected closely to tell they're not your ordinary sheers and cost me less than 15 bucks a window. They let the light in, keep the sun out and best yet, when they get dusty I can throw 'em in the yard and hose 'em off.
They haven't faded but I think if they got that Jaguar treatment they'd vanish in a puff of smoke in pretty short order.
