No mask, no travel on public transport!

On the news, they say that 1,700 people have been fined for
not wearing a mask, 128,000 were refused travel because they
weren't wearing a mask, police are also patrolling bus stops
where people don't wear masks.

The TFL, (Transport for London), are more organised than other
places, they also have inspectors travelling the network and are
boarding vehicles, buses, trains, trams, underground trains and
river buses looking for people who are not wearing a mask.

I don’t understand the fuss about wearing a mask wouldn’t you want to protect yourself first and foremost ??
we’ve been so lucky in Australia we don’t have to wear a mask but I’m down in the city ( Adelaide ) for a few days and I decided to go into the city to pick up my new iPhone 12 yesterday and I choose to wear a mask on public transport for a short train trip into the city centre

The thing is Mike, those who don't like wearing masks will do the same as those in supermarkets .. they'll wear it around their necks until the inspector gets on the bus, and then remove it again.. and incidentally there's no law to say masks should be worn outside so inspectors will be wasting tax payers money patrolling bus stops!!

however hopefully once they get on a bus they'll manage to get the message home to many more who currently don't abide by rules to wear masks in interior places

The mandate doesn't require all Americans wear masks in public; rather, it applies only to federal buildings on federal lands and to federal employees and contractors. Meanwhile, the nation has a hodge-podge of mask regulations, with 37 states requiring people to wear masks while in public, according to the AARP.
