Look what my Poinsettia is doing with no help from me.

I read so much about how to make poinsettia plants bloom again for the holidays. Cutting it back, putting it in total darkness for months, less water and the list goes on. Usually I ended up throwing them out after the holiday and just lost interest in the whole idea. Last year I kept the plant in my bay window where it did quite well. In the spring I cut it back and put it outside where it flourished. This fall it looked to beautiful to let the frost get it. I cut it back, gave it a healthy dose of fertilizer and put it in a window that gets morning sun. Two weeks ago new growth appeared with bright red leaves. I think it will be perfect for Christmas. Thank you Mother Nature. poinsettia, small.jpg
