Hello. I guess everyone feels awkward when they first come to a site like this, but I am to the point that there is no point to life if I can not connect to someone.
Don't worry, I'm not entirely mental, I have family and friends that I interact with, but I am looking for something more.
I want to commune with those people who have yet to, or have truly figured it all out.

I am a baby boomer, an air force brat, a child of the 60's/70's, survived the 80's and started all over again many times. I'm a survivor, a dreamer and an artist. I am single (long divorced), a woman, a mother (still), a grandmother (though not a very traditional one; just took the kids on a Zombie Walk), and of course a complicated individual.
I am sympathetic, empathetic, and tolerant, but I draw the line at self pity.
If we become friends, I don't expect more than a respectful, honest ear.

I hope to celebrate your and my happy times and to lend a shoulder, or ear as needed.
I would like to discuss the deeper meaning of things; life, love, spirituality, ego, self, etc.
I hope there is someone who would like to correspond with me.
If not; I tried.
Thanks, Sandie

I'm not sure if my message got through, but whoever you are thank you for responding. I was feeling all alone in the universe.

Sandie, the site has a thread for introductions, you might consider posting there. People will respond. With members from all over the world, we are dealing with multiple time zones. If you want more info re me, check my profile. If you sent me a message, I did not receive it.

You're never alone here, Sandie. I'm fairly new here too, and I can say this is heaven on a laptop. Everyone is so kind, supportive, and helpful, and we do try to reach out to folks.

I'm the crazy cat lady here, and I'm retired Army. I understand military brats! Y'all are anything BUT brats, I assure you. We're all here for you. Come on in, post all your thoughts, feelings, fears....anything. I for one am glad to see you!

In here, remember, you're never alone. Welcome!

Hello Sandie, It's after 2 a.m. here in the central California mountains and I'm sitting at my computer reading your post and also looking at the sweet kitten and puppy Pookie put on here for us. :) I've only been on here since Feb but I've met up with a lot of wonderful people. I like how well you filled out your profile it makes it easier to get to know you. What I do if I'm lonely is move around the forum and find some interesting thread and jump in on it and give my opinion or whatever. I go to the humor area daily so I can have a good laugh as that is very important for all of us. If you find someone interesting go to their profile and look on the left where it says "recent posts" or something like that. Then you can go in and read their posts and get to know them better. You sound like a friendly outgoing person and that's good. You'll fit in well here. One thing I like about this forum is that there is such a variety of people, many different personalities and there's people from all over the world. Well, a few more countries still need to check in. :) How many children do you have and do they live close to you? Looking forward to getting to know you better.

Hi Sandie, and greetings from UK. I'm also a new member here, but have found it a friendly place, with a nice mix of eccentrics and originals. Is it our generation or p'raps it's just that as we get older we stop trying to conform.

Hi Sandie...welcome from London England..:welcome:.I'm not new to the forum ...but like everyone I was new once upon a time and it can be daunting to join a new place to make friends...

Do jump in to any thread or topic that interests you, you'll be welcome whether it's serious discussions, or the games forum!!

I may be asking an obvious question but are you really from Gallifrey? I'm a Dr. Who fan (Tom Baker primarily) and Gallifrey is often mentioned. Now that you know that I am a little nerdy, I'd like to redeem myself by saying thank you for welcoming me. I like your quote. As for conforming; on the outside, yes as camouflage, on the inside, never!

She is in Introductions. Hi Sandie from Arizona...

Hello Linda, Thank you for the warm welcome. Thanks also for the tips for navigating the site. I'm still feeling my way around. I have two sons, one local and one in California. Two daughter-inlaws, who are more like friends, and a grandaughter and two grandsons. How about you? Kids? Cats?

Hi Sandie, :welcome: I've been around for almost two years, and I can tell you that you find all types of friends and supporters here. I'm sure you'll find many people here to interest you. The more, the merrier. Right?
I'm Ina, and I live North of Houston, Texas.
