Looking for a New Fitness Tracker

I've had a FitBit Flex for several years now. For me it's just a toy but I enjoy it and it gives me a boost to be more active. I'd like to find another brand. Just basic tracking steps. I saw that Misfit has a pendant device that sounds like what I want. Any recommendations welcome.
 

Apple's free Health app that comes on the iPhone tracks steps along with other activity. It also works with an Apple Watch (which I have), but is not required. Using the phone itself works just fine.
 

I unraveled the tracker question with a kind sales person at Best Buy. The thing is I don't even have a cell phone never mind a smart phone. What I was trying to do is find an alternative to wrist band trackers. Within the brand FitBit has two clip on styles. Both are notorious for bouncing off and getting lost. Losing a $50 device that easily is depressing. Then I looked into the brand Misfit. They have a beautiful pendant style necklace/tracker. The sales guy researched deeper and came up with the answer that FitBit is the only tracker that can connect to a lap top. All the others have an app that needs to connect to a smart phone.

Okay so back to square one. But then I remembered there is a designer Tory Burch who makes FitBit friendly real jewelry. She created a necklace that holds a Flex device...but her website doesn't sell it anymore...but Amazon does for half of the original price YAAAAAAY success!:D:eek:nthego::D:eek:nthego:

I used to have a Fitbit Flex but changed to a Garmin Vivofit 2 in January. I like the Vivofit because it's waterproof, even for swimming and it has a battery that lasts for a year or more wth no charging necessary. I can also see the number of steps at any time without having to connect to my phone. You can get all different color and pattern replacement bands to change the look. I wear mine 24/7.
