I just got this email from my pharmacy.
We’re writing to let you know that we are experiencing issues obtaining one of your medications, LOSARTAN, from our suppliers due to an industry-wide shortage.
When your medication is due for a refill, we will fulfill the order if we have the medication in stock. If the medication is not in stock, we will contact you directly. Your health and safety are very important to us and we will take the steps needed to prevent missing doses of this medication. We will work with you to coordinate requesting an alternative from your doctor or transferring the medication to a local pharmacy to be filled.
If you prefer to take action immediately you can speak to your doctor’s office about alternatives, there are medications in the same class as LOSARTAN that they could prescribe.
If you are out of the medication and need a supply urgently, we recommend reaching out to your local pharmacy to see if they have a supply. Once your local pharmacy has confirmed they have a supply, we can transfer your prescription to them directly.
