Lots of Time to Spare we have... What to do???

I've been busy finding things on the net. Did you know Disney Land has a problem with people dumping ashes of their loved ones all over the place? Yup, they even have a special code to alert staff- and they even have a special vacuum cleaner. If you think that's strange, there's are some videos that start off with, "And then, I was abducted". And I bet you don't know some believe the last two US Presidents had six fingers on each hand. A donkey will sink in quicksand, but a mule won't. Grapes explode when you put them in the microwave. And ,Ta DA.......

Somewhere in the USA, there is an actual town or city that celebrate that chicken... My BIL was telling me about that a while ago... I'll have to ask him where it is, and the actual story that goes along with it...

I was interested in trying to learn to play piano using YouTube tutorials but, I'm so awkward that getting both hands to work together on two totally different things isn't really my forte. So, I decided to start a writing project. I've always wanted to write so now I can tinker with that.

firstly here we have to have quarantined for at least 7 days after suffering the symptoms ( I have no cough or shortness of breath) hubs has a hacking cough but he vapes heavily (not in the house, so that would account for his bad cough ) he's only been ill for 24 hours, although he absolutely feels like he's dying, and tbf he's as poorly as I was on day one but I had no cough.... secondly however , there are just not enough testing kits for people on the NHS , so we have to pay for our own, almost £800 just to test.. . which we will do if it got to the stage where we thought it warranted it..at the moment I don't believe it's Covid-19 at least I hope it isn't, I think we've both got a bad dose of gastric flu... just a horrible co-incidence it happened right now .

Probably wouldn't do a whole lot of good to test anyway, since there isn't much of anything they can do for it than they wouldn't do for other severe respiratory illness anyway.

I've also read that gastric symptoms are not the norm with covid-19. Just because we're dealing with this covid-19 thing doesn't mean the same old various versions of the crud aren't still going around, too.

I hope you both feel better soon.

First day out today ... managed to get a few hours ( socially distanced from everyone)...in and around our neighbourhood ( I live semi rurally)... hardly saw anyone at all, and those I did see were obeying the safe distancing rule, by giving a hug wide berth to each other.. . Still not totally over this lurgy tho'....and hubs managed to be up today for most of the day and do some work online .. mostly while I was out , ..but it's exhausted him very much so at 6pm he went back to bed..

So glad to hear you both have more energy today....sending healing thoughts now xo

I was going to only stay in from now on but batteries went out in my TV remote. Went to three local stores no batteries. Had to drive 55 miles to get batteries. Brought them home; they were dead. Not good.

Has this ever happened to anyone?

Why don't you folks move south where the weather is warm? My truck won't start in 40 degree weather.🌴

That is very odd. I assume they are AAA or AA. They should be available everywhere.

Garden. Have had to start in containers since it's so wet here. Crochet. And I had my piano tuned a couple of years ago but haven't played much. I haven't yet tried the follow along internet sheet music to learn something new ...may give that a try. Oh, and yoga ...really need to get back into that for stress!

I have no problem with self-isolating, I'm a semi-recluse anyway and have plenty of food that I bought the 1st of March. BUT, I worry about my car battery. The last time I drove was March 10 when I went to do my taxes. Today I went out and started the car and let it run for 4 minutes, was worried about it. Will definitely go grocery shopping on Sunday to pick up a little more food, mainly fresh veggies. Am dreading what it will be like, if there'll be lines outside Kroger then. If there's a line I'll see if I want to wait. Have plenty of cat food, just ordered 4 more bags at Walmart just to stay ahead of things, but they say delivery will be in TWO weeks. They usually exaggerate, though, just to give themselves leeway, which is good for PR ("They said 2 weeks, and I got it in five days! " LOL)

@Pam I think it would be funny to learn some Spanish & say something in Spanish to a coworker who is Mexican & surprise her. :D
I know Spanish and when I worked there were several people in the office that were Hispanic. Every time I said something in Spanish, they would laugh or smile and reply in English. I had no idea why and didn't want to make waves by asking, I just stopped doing it. I'm dying to know what is your experience when you do it.

Say, "Hola, que pasa!" (oh-la) ( Hello, what is happening). LOL

this reminds me , when i used to visit my nan and grandad as a child, they had chickens, ...i remember grandad chopping of its head.......the chicken then ran, and flew onto my nans shoulder, and she ran down the road screaming , and the headless chicken was hanging on to her neck for dear life.....😂😂😂🐔🐔🐔
