Loud music while driving

I like to always have the radio on when I'm driving, but some people seem to be having a party in their car

For example a car has just driven past my house.. ( I always have windows open) .. and the music was night club level and the same standard... SO LOUD !... do you think people can be concentrating properly on the road when they have such loud music playing inside their car...

what's your bug bear with drivers ?

I'm one of those car vibrating, loud music nuts. When your song comes on, you just have to do that.
My gripe is drivers, who pull out right in front of you, so that you have to slam on the brakes. Then they drive 30 miles under the speed limit. If they can just mosey on down the road, why in the hell couldn't they wait for an opening to enter into traffic?

OMG !!! That is my absolute personal pet peeve.. ...what's worse is they can see you coming along the road.. and wait until you're almost on top of them before pulling out.. then driving at a snails pace.... 🤬

I probably have my music cranked high enough for others to notice even with the windows closed, but at least I don't have a big thumping subwoofer.

My gripe is the idiots who can only drive one speed. While the speed limit is low, they drive too fast. When the limit increases, they drive too slow: 35 they drive 40, 45 they drive 40.

I can only assume they still have one of those Flintstone-era gear-jammers or Renaissance-era slushboxes for a transmission and it only has "slots" widely spaced apart.

I've never been inside a car that plays their music for the neighborhood. So I wonder if the sound is pushing past the passenger compartment and is more loud outside the car than inside.

Not in the city. But I do crank it up at times when I am out of the city and on a highway with wide open lanes and little traffic.

Edit: Especially if on a dark desert highway, cool wind wind in my hair ;)
yes I do that too... you're not disturbing anyone out in the rural roads ...but the trouble is when people then turn into where we have our homes here in the lanes off the open roads .. they don't turn the music down.. My house vibrates...

I agree about the city streets ! Plus it can endanger emergency vehicles on the road because the driver can't hear the sirens.

In the city I live in, the way people drive is more of a very real danger than the loud music. Nobody observes traffic lanes or traffic lights anymore. They drive as if they have no responsibility to other drivers on the road.

same here in our cities....used to be everyone was polite to each other...now it's all road rage

Yes, I'm guilty, but not so much lately....I have a bad habit of reach- ing over to bump to the next song and I have to take my eyes off the road...depending on traffic, I sometimes have to just turn the radio off...too distracting and risky.
