Why, Surgical or Chemical Castration? They sound too
easy!
A large block of wood and a big sharp knife or cleaver
would be a better deterrent, I think.
Mike.

Lobotomy has actually been considered. Decades ago -early 70s, I think- scholars and researchers at a psychiatric university requested funding from the feds to study the brain activity of incarcerated child offenders and slice up the brains of deceased offenders to find out what part of the brain this behavior was coming from and whether or not severing it could stop the behavior.A Lobotomy would work better in my opinion.
Hang em. I wouldn't show any mercy or mess about.Raping a child is one of the most horrible crimes in my opinion. Surgical castration is more than justified. I would only use surgical castration since chemical castration is reversible.
I don't know why the US justice system doesn't do justice when it comes to sex crimes, and especially sex crimes against children. I assume it's because sexual deviance is classified as a mental illness and mental illnesses are treatable. ??Hang em. I wouldn't show any mercy or mess about.
The very thought of such crimes is repulsive.
Have the child's parents witness it, to provide closure.
I totally agree. Today, in the US, prisons are our mental health facilities. If you can't afford a place like the Betty Ford Clinc, all you get is an orange jumpsuit and a new name- inmate 23-465.our jails and prisons have the worst mental health care in the country, and that's saying a lot; mental health treatment is one of the things the US does very poorly (imo)....prescribe a nut-job some downers and we're done.
It's far and away the main manufacture of testosterone, responsible for 95%. It's also responsible for the sex drive. Without testes there would be no libido. Who knows? Without the sick desire the man may possibly reach a level of contentment he never had before.Castration is the removal of the testes. Males still have a functioning delivery device, but no semen. Supposedly, removal of the testes reduces the testosterone levels, but that's not the only areas which produce testosterone. As a crime deterrent, it is questionable at best.
I don't think the US will ever bring back the death penalty, or use mutilation as punishment for any crime. Why do something like this when we can have the death penalty? Ain't no-one ever re-offended after the death penalty.
That's interesting. Probably true for pedos who feel guilt over their deviance. And they exist. Some pedos who have gotten therapy have told their therapists that they feel like garbage, basically. It's far and away the main manufacture of testosterone, responsible for 95%. I bet it would if the US experiences a total collapse someday, though. I could see it happening then.
After castration, the libido is diminished, but not eliminated. A male is still fully functional, except there is no sperm. It's far and away the main manufacture of testosterone, responsible for 95%. My cousin Richard lost one testicle to cancer. This was quite a while back....20-some yrs ago. Anyway, when the surgeon wasn't absolutely certain the other one wouldn't have to go, too, Rich got the "just in case" speech. After castration, the libido is diminished, but not eliminated. Heat of passion homicide, quite different legally. The woman walked in and found her boyfriend raping her 12 year old daughter. She killed him right then and there. She didn't serve much time.
I know a Visiting Nurse on the Hospice group who treated a young guy with balls like basketballs, he just drug himself around till he passed. My cousin Richard lost one testicle to cancer. Without hormone therapy, statistics showed he'd probably still have a healthy libido for a while - the body doesn't store testosterone, so doctors surmise that psychology has a lot to do with that - so, the drive would be there, but (again, without hormone therapy) getting and maintaining an erection would be extremely difficult, and after several weeks, virtually impossible.
Obviously, the surgeon was *strongly* recommending hormone therapy, letting Rich know that all was not lost even if he lost his balls. And he also talked to him about how some men actually get suicidal after this surgery. They get angry and depressed and resentful and all this, so the surgeon made a referral to a psychiatric counselor. That was basically an automatic thing back then; refer a guy to a psych counselor when you schedule him for the surgical removal of his testicles.
Fortunately, Rich still has one healthy, happy testicle. But my point is, even without hormone therapy, a pedo would still be a pedo after losing his nuts. Maybe he'd be even nuttier...a suicidal sicko; an angry, resentful sicko who doesn't care if he lives or dies.
Castration could make him even more dangerous.
