Ok, apparently can't copy/paste from my windows 'One-Note'. And it's way too long me to retype it all here. So i'll just say i haven't enjoyed watching a magician this much (even tho i know it's illusion, can even guess how some are done) since Doug Hennings. Very different styles, but similar levels of skill as entertainers. Hennings, also self-taught--was more folksy, Yu Hojin is, IMO, elegant. But once he's not performing he seems more relatable...vulnerable even (i've watched clips of interviews with him).
BTW i also tend to prefer 'street magicians' who can perform their illusions with minimal props and preparation to the 'TV' illusionists.
Here's clip of him at first stage auditions this year. i can see why Cowell was the lone no vote. But i think Hojin, who's been performing and completing around the globe for years, knows Cowell often says of initial audition--"That was good, but can you top it if you go to semi finals?" So he deliberately scaled down this one, it's more focused. Then at semi finals he brought more, and if he goes further will likely bring more still.

Dang, you got in here quick, i noticed and tried to delete it, now have removed the tech gibberish.
And yes as you can tell by the comment i have now posted and clip of his initial performance on AGT, he is very entertaining. As some of the judges noted mesmerizing.
