A brief (2:17 minutes) look at Moose in the north woods of Maine. Very peaceful. Enjoy.
 

Thanks Bob! Yay for Maine. Sometimes you don't need to drive all that far north to see them in the early evenings in large fields. Heeding the Moose Crossing signs is important too because ... well, they're huge.

So very true. One of my former colleagues paid the ultimate price way up north on Rt. 95 late one night. Probably never saw it coming. Killed instantly. Took the top of his car off. Died way too early.
 

Bob, I'm sorry to hear that story about your colleague. I just looked up the statistics for car-moose accidents here in 2015, and it was 327 total with 55 human injuries. This aside, they are amazing to watch (from a distance). You don't want to get too close to risk charging.
 
Thanks Bob, I love to see anything related to wildlife. My condolences for the loss of your friend, how tragic. Here's a couple of the moose we see sometimes on vacation.

The video and photos are beautiful. We saw a lot of Elk when we visited my daughter in Oregon but never moose. We are going to take a short trip to Connecticut this fall. I wonder if their are any down that far?
 
They appear to be posing at the end there. Love looking at animals in natural habitat. I actually don't everrecall seeing a moose before!
