Mainly For Ameriscot

Aye! I love footie and the possibility of Scotland beating England is very exciting. They really need my DH to coach them!

Yes, I know everyone doesn't care about sport. Fine. Don't care.

"Don't care."

Hard not to when stuff like this appears as a headline on the normal BBC "news" channels!

There used to be several of these matches every year in the past,
but the animosity of the spectators got so bad that they were stopped
many years ago.

The last match saw Wembly stadium wrecked, there was a pitch invasion
and the goals were all broken, that was it, no more Scotland v England
games.

Sad really, I used to enjoy watching them.

Mike.

Wash your mouth out with soap!! And it's football, not soccer.

All the rest of the world loves it except the US - although many do.

Wales and New Zealand might argue with you there!

And if you're going to be pedantic, it's Association Football (hence "soc"cer) as opposed to Rugby Football which covers both Rugby Union and Rugby League (and, in its origins, American Football too, which, as a heretic Welshman, is my favourite version of all forms)!

I have zero interest in American football although many of family love it. I have relatives who watch golf and baseball and then dare to call football aka soccer boring!
