Major glitch just now on my laptop

When I clicked on a post, a new page was created.
When I attempted to type, out came gobbledegook.
This was the same for all three social media sites I accessed.
Then everything was restored to normal.

Could it be due to the CME X-class solar flare that was headed to the earth?

SpaceWeather.com -- News and information about meteor showers, solar flares, auroras, and near-Earth asteroids

I get email notifications from space weather whenever this happens because they have been known
to precede/influence earth incidents (earthquakes, disasters, etc.). I don't know if it's related, but just wanted to
mention this.

What ever the problem was, it only affected social media sites. ABC News on-line was not impacted.

I used to have to track and report on those solar storms for
the USN, always sent very detailed time reports/incident reports
to all the big shots in Washington d.c.//////////
