"Mangione", the CEO killer is now a musical, sold out!!!!!

My favorite of his and oddly enough I first heard it while sleeping and woke up to it. Maybe that's the best way to hear music!

@dilettante, one of my favorite shows.
I love the orchestration in Bellavia. You've got good taste Della. :D 🎶 That is wild that we were both awaken from a sleep to hear songs from that album.

You can't make this up:
Mangione, the guy who murdered the health care CEO, now has a musical named after him. And tickets are sold out.
While cold bloodedly murdering Brian Thompson, Mangione has become the poster child for the immense distaste for the health care system.
Now, there's a musical version of the incident - to sold out crowds.
MSN.

You know, I often come across idiots on Youtube/ They're known as LOLCows. A lot of videos are made about these people, poking fun of them, taking their content and attacking it with rabid humor. But when watching various examples, one thing struck me - some of these so called LOLCows clearly have a mental illness or two. It is their mental illness that causes their.... well.... LOLCowery.

The point being, there was a time when pointing your finger at the mentally disturbed was simply not done, or accepted. We pitied them, we even respected them for what they are. Not today. Not on the internet. It's now okay to monetize these illnesses. It's okay to attack me, stoke their fires, and play on their weaknesses. It's all done for laughs, and literal millions tune in to watch.

As a parallel thought, I think society has moved into an era where those in authority/control are in serious danger from a society that has become disillusioned by corporations, governments, and the rich. In fact I'm surprised more instances of this haven't happened. In the UK, a Minister of Parliament in Southend, Essex (just up the road from me), we murdered by a crazy constituent. Yesterday there was a story in the news about someone setting fire to two homes with an association with the Prime Minister.

Honestly, when the lowest on the rung get squeezed enough, this kinds of things are going to happen. I'm not in any way condoning it, it's just that the temperature of society is high right now. Turning this murder case into a musical seems..... fitting with the world we currently live in.

Unless he was an absolutely terrible father, I imagine it must be quite upsetting for his children (and perhaps his wife) seeing that the man who killed their father is considered a hero by some.
