Manhunt For Father Who Killed His Three Young Daughters

As with all these terrible crimes - "The System Failed"
The system fails regularly.
Those responsible for allowing visiting rights need to be removed from their positions and never employed again in such a capacity.
Too often those that make these decisions get off scot free.
Sickens me to tears.

As of 5PM yesterday, they still believe he is alive and hiding in the area.

That area is very rugged terrain and very easy for him to avoid detection this time of year. He knows the area well, so no reason he would flea to an unknown area. The county sheriff says he won't stop till he is found.

Although, I don't live that far from that rugged Washington State area, there is open land in between and it is seriously doubted that he has ever been out of the area he knows, so I continue my walks.

My opinion is he will avoid contact with anyone.

This will give you an idea how easy one skilled in survival skills
could easily elude detection. Very few roads or even trails.

have we got any stats for numbers of men who may have written to a female killer in jail?? [serious question not flippant mind?]

In Canada Paul Bernardo and his wife Carla Homolka drugged, tortured or killed at least three young women. One was her sister. She later remarried and had children. How anybody could even speak to her, I’ll never understand.

I remember this case and following the trial. What she was given (the opportunity to plead to a lesser charge in turn for testifying against her accomplice) is why I don’t like plea deals. After she took the plea deal, video tapes were found that proved she was as involved in the rapes and murders as was her husband.

The government had enough evidence to convict both of them without her testimony. If one received life, they both should have received life. I doubt they would have offered her a plea deal if they had first found the video tapes.

There are cases where plea deals have to offered, but not as often as they are.
