OK, I'm pretty sure it's apocryphal (most of the posts are these days) but I was reading recently on the revenge a man had on his constantly-complaining elderly neighbor.

He said he was from the Dominican Republic and was Black. He moved into a house and immediately ran into problems with an elderly White female neighbor who told him he didn't belong in the neighborhood and why didn't he just go live with "his kind". She proceeded to call in complaints about everything and called the police several times until she was told by them to stop calling in unfounded complaints. That didn't stop the in-person complaints, though.

He said he then borrowed a Black male mannequin, dressed it completely and put it in his dining room window, facing directly into her bathroom. It just stood there 24 hours a day, staring into the old lady's bathroom. It drove her crazy. She called the police repeatedly until they threatened her with arrest. They told him that while they didn't recommend this kind of action (snickering all the way), they could not order him to stop as he wasn't doing anything illegal. She went as far as having a lawyer send a cease-and-desist letter to him. He ignored it.

Her son came from out of state to talk to the man and promised that he would guarantee that his mother wouldn't bother him any more if he'd just take the mannequin out of the window. Not sure how he managed to muzzle his mother but there were no more incidents after that, except for dirty looks. About a year later, the old lady moved into assisted care and that was that.

As I said, most of the stuff on the internet now is AI-generated or written by paid authors, but I got a big kick out of it anyway. I just wish I had thought of it years earlier when we were having problems with a neighbor up in Michigan. It would have driven him wild.
