Many Adults are being Diagnosed with Autism

This has got me thinking, they use labels like OCD, or ADHD.

But I have noticed that I like things where they should be and
things done as I like them done, but instead of speaking to a
Doctor, who might give me one of the above labels, I decided
that this is how I was trained, probably as we all were trained
a long time ago and the Doctors are young, younger than we
are and probably don't understand, our thinking.

I could be wrong, of course, but there are so many notables
being told that they are Autistic, I can't believe it, unless they
have committed a crime and are preparing their defence!

Autism is a 'spectrum' condition which can be very mild to severe. What you describe Mike, sounds like you just prefer things in a particular way. Sounds perfectly normal to me.
I think that some people are just looking for a label to justify their behaviour when what they need is a good kick up the butt.
 
I have a whole different perspective on why there is an increase in children being diagnosed with special needs over the past 30 years.
I have my degree in Early Childhood Education and Development and having worked in this field and hands on with 100's of children/families for over 30 years I sure see a connection that no one wants to hear. If what I think is true, it would be the biggest hoax and cover up ever pulled over the public's eyes. And yes... Big Pharma would be at the bottom of it.
