Many Women Will Never See Justice in This Lifetime

Open discussion. Your thoughts?

I know it’s for certain in my own life, but I will not go into detail here. But what say you, overall, about the predicament of women in American society, especially single moms. Life going peachy and without prejudice for them as a group? I sure don’t see that.

Let's see if I've got this right: Most men are bad, when not outright evil. All women are suffering at the hands of men.

So what's the answer? A two-state solution?
you really do read your own little stories don't you ? where did anyone say ''men are bad ..all women are suffering at the hands of men''?

You said that, we didn't..

It might be true but we didn't say it nor did we imply it.. you made that up yourself..

A really weird thing happened to me on Facebook. I joined few months back because my son has gone to Guana to work at a school and put a video on it. So I have joined a group or two. On a philosophy group a person messaged me to be her friend. I said ok and we chatted yesterdday. She is a single mom 44, with a 4 year old, living with her grandma who is 94 and is doing "ok". She finally asks me if our friendship includes benefits. Then I told her how poor I was and she Oh. that was the last I heard from her.

I have read and seen so many young moms with no husband helping, trying to get a job or find someway to survive out there. I have no idea on how to help them.

I can see why you might feel that way, Dilettante. It seems to be a thing for quite a while now to talk about how much women have suffered from unequal opportunities and lack of political power. It is true and I'm glad it's changing, but no one ever mentions how inequality hurt the men.

We forget that while women were being asked to stay home and keep house, the men didn't all have glittering careers, for many men those careers were down coal mines or in steel mills and they probably would have loved to stay home with the babies.

When talking about unfairness to women, I remember that one million men died in WWI and WWII.

Well who said life should be fair????
If life was fair this would not be happening.
Street Children Worldwide

The UN has estimated the population of street children worldwide at a staggering 150 million, with the number rising daily. Ranging in age from three to eighteen, about 40 per cent are homeless. The other 60 per cent work on the streets to support their families. Some are sent out by their impoverished parents to work or to beg. They are unable to attend school and are considered to live in "especially difficult circumstances".
