March 2020 ~ Tell us how your day is going~ Any Green Beer Stories???

This morning I went on my early walk around 6:20,it was raining,a bit breezy
We have a wind advisory for much of WNY gusts 40mph or higher
I don't think I'll be able to go outside for the rest of the day, instead walk up/down stairs.
My plan is either clean out my clothes closet or do some shredding, depending on my mood

Moviequeen, 6:20 in the morning walk, isn't it still dark out with the time change. But nice to get it done and over with.

I need to sort too, clothes are at that in between stage, too cool for summer clothes, too warm for winter clothes....sigh

I got up feeling very good and optimistic and am not going to let this virus scare do me in. Most who get it after all, do not die and most just seem to feel like they have a cold or flu. I'm not going to continually watch the news, it seems morbid to me!

My doggie has a Vet visit today. She needs her anal glands expressed. So we will take a cab there and back. A Vet. Techie is going to do it. The last one was very gently and did it it very well. I have faith the one today will, too. My dog doesn't like the procedure but lets them do it okay. After all, who would like this procedure? Not me....

Going to have my first meal today soon. My blood glucose readings have been very good, just like someone without diabetes...And my weight is going down well, too. I must be doing something right :sneaky: :) Well, I know I have been.

Everyone, a good day to you(y)

Hello People...
Forgot to sign in this morning when I was here... ah well, I am here now... Not a lot to repair except my wife and her sisters and Mom have cancelled their trip to Cuba next Wednesday... they are not going for sure... I think it's probably the right choice...

I got a cute file on my phone yesterday, and now trying to figure out how to send it to myself, so I can copy and paste it here...But for the last 15 - 20 years every year except for 1 or 2 years, there has been something that is going to kill us all or end the world... It almost tells us to stop listening to the news... I thought this coronavirus had just come around, but supposedly it's been with us since December!

I just gotta figure out what I am going to do in the evenings with No hockey, or any sport at that...

Well, that's all the good cheer I have for today... I hope YOU all have a wonderful Friday, Keep Safe... and God Bless YOU all...

Yes, we will all be okay Mike, except for us who kick the bucket. After all the rate of getting well with it is 80%, can't beat those odds!

Good Morning... Scratching my head, trying to figure out why I am up this early, May go back to bed for a little bit...

Not a lot to report, except like the rest of us, it seems like everything has shut down... Little scary... Never seen that before in my lifetime...

It's good we have this place to come and check-in and join some conversation...

Well, As I said, folks. not a lot to add right now, and think, I am going to go back and enjoy my bed for a bit...

So please everyone keep safe and enjoy your day... God Bless YOU all...

This morning I walked to our local co-op{I'm a member} which is 3 blocks from my apt.
I bought loaf of multi grain bread,2 rolls of recycled paper towels{on sale} since I didn't have any
Afterwards,I walked over to my close friends,Marcia&Dave's house.I was brought them David Brook's column from yesterday's NYT.
When I walked into the living room, there was my 'buddy boy',Aker{he's a pharoh hound} lying on the sofa as usually, looked very content.I bent down to hug him,he licked my forehead, wagged his tail.
I had a nice chat with my 'movie buddy',Alexei, then Marcia walked in.Dave was in Cleveland visiting his mom

Sunday is a day of rest or supposed to be, but I am in a cleaning mood, all the little jobs that have been put off in addition to regular cleaning.

All the scatter mats have been washed and dried, the shower curtains too, cleaned the sunroom, washed down the kitchen cabinets which are white, now I am noticing all the appliance smudges of course now that the cabinets are cleaned

I deserve a treat.....wonder if there's any ice cream left.

I won't be able to go to Canopy of Neighbors this week. Our office is located in the back of local Jewish temple,is closed this wk who knows for how long There is a state of Emergency here in Erie County. as well.Sasha our exec director,Wendy volunteer director will be working from home
Instead,I'll be calling list of members I usually do from my apt.Wendy, emailed me&other volunteer,Howie{he calls members on Weds&Thurs} Fri asked if we would call& ck in on the members.I told her'Yes'.If a member has a request for something, will relay info to her
The rest of my day, take a couple of walks to get some fresh air, read NYT and my book

I made a predawn raid on the local Walmart, mailed some letters and topped up the tank.

I was home and hands washed by 7:00 am.

I was shocked to see how empty the shelves were at Walmart. The associates were busy restocking in all areas and one young woman mentioned that there were three tractor-trailers waiting to unload.

I was also amused that many of the things that I bought were in good supply. I guess oatmeal, teabags, and cottage cheese don't have much appeal to young families.

The only things that were completely wiped out were toilet paper and bread. I was lucky that the bread man was wheeling in large trolleys of fresh bread as I walked by. My brand was at the top of his pile so he snagged two loaves for me.

I think that I may need to change my weekly grocery run to Friday mornings in an effort to get a better selection, we'll see.

Our local Walmarts are now closed from 11PM to 4AM to allow the stockers time to load the shelves and clean up the stores..They are normally 24 hour stores..

My oldest son drives a semi for another store chain and says it is ridiculous as to how customers act..

They have changed the hours here too.

The supercenter that I use now opens at 6:00 am and closes at 11:00 pm.

The parking lot looked crowded but when I looked closer the cars were covered with frost so I assume that they were either employees or homeless people. Walmart did away with overnight parking but a few people still manage to camp out.

Good Morning,

So folks, how are we all surviving? We are kinda used to this, and we were self quarantined over Christmas with the scabies virus.

Saturday afternoon, the boys stopped in for a visit, haven't seen them forever, and then the brother and sister-in-law stopped in... So we had a good visit with everyone...

Then about 5:30ish we drove to the next town up, and a little further from Ottawa, and go a few groceries, they had everything but TP... We didn't need a lot, just a little bit, so we were ok...

Yesterday, we went into Lorie's Mothers, she needed me to fix a leak in the toilet, and the kitchen sink, so I got all that done, ended up staying for dinner.

And here we are... Not sure where the weekend went... But it came and gone...

Heard this one yesterday, but we better hope this virus is gone before Tick season, or we'll be having corona with Lyme...

But a more serious note... Be careful cuz I hear dogs can catch this virus also...

So, please everyone, have fun, but please keep safe... and God Bless YOU all...

I'm nervous and stressed this morning. I'm picking up on all the stress and panic around me so my stress is coming from without, not within, although obviously hitting something in me already there. Took 1/2 Xanax.

Woke up this morning and saw I had been perspiring a lot, don't know why, but I am feeling fine now.

Finally was able to order my food delivery..at first they said it was a 3 day wait but I went back online and they said 2 hours so I ordered.

I have been washing my hands and sanitizing so much. I went out in the hall and cleaned the door and handles to the lobby with a disinfectant and then used hand sanitizer and then washed my hands again and again. Used my Lysol disinfectant spray on handles in my apt and even sprayed my keys and mail..not taking any chances here.

Ordered my prescriptions online from my doctor and hope I will be able to get them by Thursday when it will be 70 degrees here.

Thinking of cancelling my upcoming dr. appt. that's a routine one. I had some questions but they can wait. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I hope this virus is kept at bay by all communities by doing the recommendations.

Sad thing is that when I went out Friday night for some Me Time which I haven't had in about 8 mos, as I was crossing the street I smiled at a man and then almost violently coughed in my direction and he was only a few feet away...oh, that irked me..Yet I am feeling fine.

I was surprised how many were coughing in the restaurant when I went to have a bite to eat. They seemed to be far away from me and I don't know if they covered their mouths or not as I couldn't see them. There was a barrier above my booth..thank God for that at least...

I still enjoyed my little time out and was speaking with some people across the aisle..very nice folks. Well, that was it for my socializing last Fri.

Today I am still fine and so are the pet family.

Good health to all of you!;) ✨ 🌺 ❗🌟 (y)

This morning when I took my morning walk around 6:40,it was raining lightly.
The only people who I regularly see out are the runners.I saw a guy I know walking his 2 little dogs down the street,he takes them out 3-4 times/day
I took the bus to Walgreens this morning, there were 8 of us.In the store,I was able to buy Lysol disenfectant wipes which weren't there a couple days ago.The store clerk was putting toilet packages on the shelves.
As I walked home from Walgreens,I began to notice less traffic,I saw maybe 4 other people walking. As this 'crisis' continues its begun to sink in this is the'NEW NORMAL'. The only positive thing when I'm on my early walks is hearing the birdies chirping boosts my spirits, spring is coming soon.As long as I can continue going on my walks,I'll take each day as it comes

Hey, I had a pricey root canal tooth pulled. It had cost $1350 bucks a year and a half ago for the root canal and $900 bucks for the crown,
The operation was a success but the patient died when the bone broke off that anchored the crown.

No more root canals for me...not at this stage of life. Had fun at the dentist's though . Love them. They are closing
down for a month due to the coroovirus.

Got some of Aldi's food delivered to me last evening. They only had half of my order available. I'll have to try to get those things in the future--they weren't urgent. I was glad they still had the dishwashing pods for the dishwasher. I did get my spinach leaves and zucchini, too. And a few other whatnots.

Slept a good portion of today..was one of those days that only sleeping can fix. Feeling better now. I'm going to CVS tonight to pick up my prescriptions and see what they have there that I could use.

Took my little girl out for a short walk. Saw some people along the way and kept my distance. Got to do what's best. I have Spotify music playing now, some soothing music.

Hope you all have a good night.
