Yes, the dreadful month of February is over and not soon enough. My lights are on and my water is running and so am I, well, walking a little anyhow. I hope you find March as welcoming as I do...

It's been unusually warm and sunny here. Would like to have seen more snow the past winter, but I do love seeing the flowers! My Irises started coming up a couple weeks ago...all in bloom now. Purple and white. My peach and salmon colored roses as well. I have a wildflower garden that shows something nearly all year round. The ranunculus have little tight buds and the mini daisies opened up a few days ago. Pink, white and bright yellow. It's invigorating!

Yes, I have many flowers and trees blooming....I worry about the peach trees, if they get through 2 more weeks, Ill have peaches this summer.

The maple trees are starting to come out here... and the wild onions.:) My double variety daffodils came out too early and got frozen in January. The singles just came out last week.

March ain't exactly wonderful here, either. In fact, we don't really get some decent weather here until May...

Anything would be an improvement over last winter, so as February passed into history, I'm thankful for the limited cold and snow that came the past few months. Looking forward to March and warmer weather and the arrival of Spring.

The first of the early non fruiting cherry trees are blooming around here and my Lilacs are budding up to. Tulips are halfway to blooming as well.. woot.

Another gorgeous day here. The azaleas are blooming but it's not going to be a bumper year as we didn't have a cold enough winter. For some reason, azaleas do best when there's a good cold snap in the winter. I remember one especially cold winter in Orlando when the weather got down to the high teens (yes, it happens). We had a couple of old azaleas that hadn't bloomed well in years and come late February they burst out in an almost indecent display.
