Maria

Conditions in the US Virgin Islands deteriorated Tuesday evening as Hurricane Maria's ripping winds began to batter the Caribbean island, hours after the storm obliterated parts of Dominica and killed at least one person in GuadeloupeThe Category 5 hurricane with sustained winds of 175 mph (281 kph) will smash into the Virgin Islands Tuesday night and Puerto Rico on Wednesday morning.
Residents of Puerto Rico, who were spared some of Irma's wrath when that hurricane's core passed north of the island, boarded up homes and businesses Tuesday. People who fled to the US territory as Maria advanced on their islands sought shelter.

Kind of ironic for A hurricane named Maria to his Puerto Rico.

It's now a Category 5 with 175 mph winds and on a direct track for Puerto Rico. It's looking really really bad for them. It still looks like the US mainland will be spared except for some heavy surf.

There's been so much hurricane activity I can't believe it! All those poor folks killed or devastated by these disasters one after the other, Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico, Mexico. My heart goes out to all who are going through this hell on earth. :(

Apocalypse Now! And everyone is so used to disasters, it doesn't phase them unless it hits them. Four hurricanes this year so far. Millions of victims in Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, and pretty much the whole Caribbean. And maybe Jose might still hit the northeast. There's probably going to be more behind Maria. This is the consequences of ignoring climate change...and it's going to be much more expensive than if we quit polluting the earth.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Trump disown the islands to keep from having to pay to rebuild them.....takes away from his wall.

No. There is no evidence of that at all.
