Marijuana

We use a combination of THC and CBD, his are in oil form mine in pill form, neither of us use it for a high we use it for sleep, in fact I am not sure we could get a high from what we use. I did accidentally get a high from a mix of percoset and his oil. I hated every minute of it, I even had to turn down dinner out at one of our better restaurants, because I didn't think I could walk! Before marijuana became legal we got it from friends and I would grind it up and make cookies. 1/2 a cookie and we would sleep, a little too much kept us awake though. Now we can buy in the exact amount to help us and not worry about if it is the correct dose. We aren't addicted either.........in spite of what old J Edgar Hoover said!

I don't use it but ran across this fun and informational article.

thank you Lawrence it was an interesting article. I read most of it and I passed it on to some friends of mine. I know it will be valuable for them.

I used to use pot when I was younger but I don't need it for anything yet and it makes me eat too much so I don't use it anymore.

What do you find the best amount for sleep?

I keep reading or hearing positive reviews for sleep but the American products don’t list the strength. Maybe it’s because they can’t tell I’m not in the US.

I use to smoke pot to get high and "feel good". I quit years ago until about 4 years ago someone "gifted" us a "Kind Bud". I was ailing from IBS symptoms, so I decided to smoke some. WOW! I got a little high and It was like a miracle that it relieved ALL of the symptoms. Missouri legalized Medical Marijuana in 2019 but stores didn't open until 2020. I have a card and have several different strains that I micro dose. I mix ground CBD with ground Marijuana flowers. It does give me a slight high, and the medicinal value is fantastic.

I believe Bill Clinton. Kind of. He has a lot of allergies and it must have been easier to pretend than get barraged by one's friends.

Dh's oil is about .07cc's of THC. About half as much as you would need to get high. I suspect it varies between people. My pills are THC 5.0 mg and the same amount of CBD.

Since you are in Canada just tell the people in the pot shop what you need they will help guide you.

Thank you Lawrence for sharing this. I read the article and watched the video contained within the article, the video alone put me in a happy place.

Interesting to see how many people are finding relief through cannabis or CBD, especially for things like sleep, anxiety, and chronic pain. It’s not the taboo it used to be, more people are just quietly using it to improve their quality of life.

If anyone’s curious about different products or what actually works for others, there’s this helpful site with cbd reviews that breaks it down by brand and purpose. Worth a look if you're trying to find something that actually does what it says.

To be fair, it was a well-intentioned film that got scooped up and re-edited with crazier scenes inserted to make it sell better in traveling road shows catering to the gullible.

In California the edible Cannabis products have a THC potency rating, measured in milligrams. A 5mg edible does a good job in helping to fall asleep. However, like every substance(OTC or prescription) it won't make you stay asleep for more than maybe 4 or 5 hours.

Does it make you crave a dozen Taco Bell 🌮

I don't understand what is going on with the new version. In 72-73 I was a senior in HS and it was all around I smoked it for a year. II liked it. Felt good. Now a few years ago my two friends I smoked with then (and have never stopped) offered me some of this super potent much more so than 1973. I didn't feel it.

A friend gave me two of his joints and I took them fishing with my two friends. We smoked one ( I feel nothing) smoked the other one and I felt like shit. Had to lie down in the boat for awhile. I guess my body changed. I even tried gummies to sleep after my surgery. My brother swore by them. Nothing.......I really have no pains at all at my age but if I could find SOMETHING to end this incontinence I would pay any price almost......

Cannabis is a psychotropic substance, meaning it can affect a person's mental processes and behaviour and leads to both psychoactive and physiological effects, because it contains the psychoactive compound tetrahydrocannabinol that can alter mood, perception, and cognitive function.
Call it pot, weed or wacky baccy, it screws up your brain.

I don't need a prescription or have some strange ailment requiring me to jump through hoops just for a buzz. I like to catch a buzz when watching a good movie and just a little pin joint will work, and I can walk right down the street. That blunt stuff is not for me. I survived the 60s and up. I don't smoke everyday and don't have problems with people who do.

Fun little article! I don’t personally use marijuana either, but I’m amazed by how many people I know, especially in retirement groups, are trying the non-psychoactive side of it, like CBD. Seems like brands such as Joy Organics are becoming common names among people looking for relief without the high. Anyone here tried their stuff?
