Martial Law in the Southwest.

Hey folks have you heard the rumor that's going around that the Obama administration is planning to impose martial law in the Southwest. AZ Jim you better be prepared.

Consider a hypothetical. The Obamacare case is before the Supreme Court and the threat to red state Obamacare subsidies is looming. It would be naive to think the White House wouldn't have some contingency plans in place for that eventuality. Quick surgical action under the cover of military exercises: go in, set up exchanges, stand up friendly government with domestic opposition, leave small residual force, get out.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) on Tuesday asked the State Guard to monitor the exercise when it happens in order to ensure "that Texans know their safety, constitutional rights, private property rights and civil liberties will not be infringed."

Your might wonder who might be spreading this rumor. You don't need me to provide the answer.
 

Oh YEs...... I've heard that!! Black Helicopters will be landing on everyone's lawn... and a door to door search will be conducted... All guns will be confiscated.... Everyone will be forced to "Gay Marry"... and all pregnant women will have an on the spot abortion.

I googled this story and gee, what a shock, out of dozens of "news" sites with a story about it the only ultra-conservative site I found was The Blaze. Sorry to disappoint you.
 
Texas wants to shut down the Affordable Care Act, something that allows millions of folks the ability to afford health insurance. "It'll cost too much!" That same set of neo-cons mobilize their State National Guard to "babysit" the U.S. Military and make sure their training exercise isn't a government takeover. How any tax dollars will they spend on the Guard? Couldn't those dollars have been better spent going towards health insurance for their citizens???

In a letter obtained by the Dallas Morning News, Todd Smith, who served in the state legislature for 16 years, wrote that he was "livid" about Abbott's request for the State Guard to monitor the military's upcoming training exercise, dubbed "Jade Helm 15."

"I am horrified that I have to choose between the possibility that my Governor actually believes this stuff and the possibility that my Governor doesn’t have the backbone to stand up to those who do," Smith wrote.
"I am appalled that you would give credence to the nonsense mouthed by those who instead make decisions based on internet or radio shock jock driven hysteria," he added. "Is there ANYBODY who is going to stand up to this radical nonsense that is cancer on our State and Party?"
