Martin Macneill trial

Is anyone watching this trial at all?? I've just started recently, and cannot believe this guy....if he did kill his wife, or contribute to her death, I don't think it was for the mistress; maybe for his freedom. Also can't understand why - if someone wants another person so much that they can't/won't stop seeing them, why not get a divorce??
IMO, I wouldn't want someone who wants someone else, and would rather it was over than know I was second-fiddle (as they used to say).

Wasn't even aware of this event.

Here's a recent picture of "the other woman", presented without comment ...

This is "Gypsy" and has the morals of an alley cat! I'm following this case closely and I was shocked, to say the least, when she strolled into the courtroom. The wife was a beauty queen and absolutely gorgeous, looked 10 years younger than she was. No face lift needed. This man is a complete psycho and was discharged from the Army for that reason. And he moved this thing in as Nanny within a day or so of the murder, tho she never worked as one in that position. She was there for daddy's pleasure!

The other mistress who testified was far more attractive than Gypsy, for whom he committed the murder, but she wasn't in his wife's league either, not even close.

I'm taping the trial and catch up at night. It's over the top and pathetically sad what he has put these poor daughters through, so many of them, one of whom is a dr. I hope this man never sees the light of day again, he's evil personified! Sorry to add all this to your photo post, Phil, just another rushed morning.

Not at all - I've always been fascinated by the human mind, and it's interesting and educational to speculate as to why he did this.

Granted, the physical attributes aren't always the determining factor for fooling around: as the old saying goes, no matter how beautiful a woman is, some guy is trying to get away from her.

Most people think that doctors are above all the petty trials and tribulations that the rest of us are subject to, but they aren't. They're just as susceptible to temptation and straying as the next person. Why do these young female teachers fool around with their under-aged students? Why do priests molest kids? Why does a person with seemingly everything going for them suddenly do a 180 and get into a massive train-wreck?

THAT'S the kind of stuff I'm fascinated by.

Me too, Phil, demented minds fascinate me, with no way of our ever understanding what makes them tick.

Don't even get me started on priests molesting kids, it would piss too many Catholics off....but my humble opinion of a very few, but in too many cases of giving up one of life's greatest pleasures, it's a HUGE sacrifice and one that they should have given more thought to...and JMO.

Seems to me there's more sociopaths as time goes by - more selfishness, arrogance, etc. Whatever I want I should have, and what does it matter who gets hurt or what they think - me, me, me.

This trial isn't going well, and I think there's a good chance he could get off. The defense is saying the daughter lied, and the coroner, that she may have died from drowning. Witness testimony doesn't sound good for him, but unless they have some evidence - well, who knows.

Maybe his past behavior and lies will end up doing him in....rather like Scott Peterson; there was virtually no forensic evidence in that case, and look where he is.

It just kills me that the jury isn't privy to half the things we know about him and they won't be allowed to hear them. Horrible, horrible things and that's what's wrong with our justice system. Juries should be allowed to hear of all misdoings. But, my gosh, the way he handled the overnight nanny, literally forced her into a face lift and then cursed her for having it in front of the medics should knock them down as motive....not to mention how he admitted he overdosed her. I'm so afraid it's going to be another Kasey (sp?) Anthony and OJ nightmare of justice!! Just keep hoping his wonderful daughters being convinced he's guilty will cause them to follow suit.
