Mason Miller throws 104.5 mph fastball

It’s not how fast a pitcher throws, it’s how close he can get to the zone. I threw 88 in college and had a chance to go into the Dodgers organization, but as a first baseman. I wasn’t crazy about it, but getting a chance at playing in the big leagues was very overwhelming. I knew in my heart I was never going to make it to the majors, so I turned down the offer. I didn’t want to spend maybe 8 years chasing a dream only to be released. My dad was very disappointed, but later he realized too that I made the best decision for me.
