Here it is Saturday evening December 26th 8 PM and I am looking forward to my 8:30 PM appointment for a 1 1/2 hr. Full Body Massage. I am so lucky that I am less than 5 minutes from the facility. Oh my, I will get back to my apartment later tonight and sleep like a baby. Nite all.

Lucky you Lon. I love massages. They are very medicinal. Some medical insurance companies are now covering massages. Great for people that have that coverage. Reminds me of when they did not cover chiropractors and now they have for several years. Enjoy and sleep well.

I have never really experienced this, though my first wife, being a Cosmetologist trained in Germany, was licensed to do the work. Occasionally, she would "work out" knotted muscles in my back and neck.

Out of curiosity, how long is a session of massage therapy carried out? 1/2 hour? More? I'm getting more interested! imp

Imp, In my neck of the woods you can schedule a massage for 1/2 hour, 1 hour, or 1 1/2 hours. Find a good masseuse and it's well worth it. I prefer the 1 hour and recommend getting one later in the day after all 'chores' are done so that you can go home and relax and benefit from the massage.

Massages are truly wonderful! Very relaxing and great for working out kinks in neck and shoulders (which I have a lot of thanks to so many years at keyboards). I also find acupuncture extremely relaxing and helpful for those kinks.

Unfortunately, as I stripped down to my briefs and got onto the massage table I started to get a nose bleed and got a few drops on the massage table sheets. I am taking a blood thinner and rather than continue with the massage the therapist and I decided to do my massage the next day. I am glad I live next door. Damn blood thinners.

I would love frequent massages, but at a dollar a minute, conservative pricing, a 1 1/2 hour massage would be at least $100 at a bargain price. I went to a woman's home who does massages, and was there more than once...although I can count the number of massages in my life on one hand. I did an hour long full body for $60, and it was heaven. Did a couple of hour long back and neck only, which is my preference if I'm going to spend that much. If I had a lot of money, I would do like Lon and enjoy the benefits of regular massages frequently. Good for you Lon, enjoy! In this case Nancy, I'll be selfish and say, it's better to receive than to give.
