This was a fun project to work on for a day, but now I'm tired of it.

This was a dream I had night before last which has recurring subjects. Although I've been retired for over 4 1/2 years, I continue to regularly have work dreams. I took my last class for a second Associate's Degree in 1991, 33 years ago, but I continue having dreams of missing classes or not meeting the requirements to graduate.

In this dream, I am too late for class to attend it, but blew it off.

Do any of you have similar recurring dreams?

@hawkdon @Pinky @PeppermintPatty @Pepper @MarkinPhx @Trish @Tish and anybody else who wishes to chime in.

@Davey Do I hadn't noticed this thread! I think what you have posted is fun and I especially like the drawings. I did think, if only you had worn your superman pyjamas, you could have saved that poor nurse from falling - dived down after her and caught her mid-flight! :ROFLMAO:

A dream I vividly remember is where I wake in a panic. I have overslept, I have urgent work waiting for me and I am already late!

I dash around like a lunatic, throwing clothes on, quickly brushing my hair and my teeth (not with the same brush I hope but, perhaps I did!) grab my coat and bag and literally run all the way to work!

I race through the reception. OMG! I must be awfully late as the reception guy must have gone off for his coffee break and there is no one else waiting for the lifts.

I get to the sixth floor and only stop running when I get to the door of the offices, take a couple of deep breathes and try to look calm as I walk down the corridor.

Where is everyone?

Why is it so quiet?

Surely not everyone has overslept!

Oh no! I must have missed a meeting, where else would they all be!!!

As I scurry further down the corridor, on my way to the conference room, I try to think up a plausible excuse for my lateness.

Finally, I see someone else. It's the maintenance guy. "Hi" he smiles "... I didn't know you work on Saturdays!" 😭 šŸ™ƒ

"I didn't know you worked on Saturdays"! PRICELESS!

We have common areas of concerns in our dreams, @Trish.

Thanks so much for the kind words about my illustrations and do planting the jammied Superman in my subconscious! Maybe next time, I WILL save her from falling!

As a child, I could fly like Superman, but these nights dreams are filled with me jogging for miles without tiring and I haven't jogged in years! E-biking and the elliptical are the extent of my aerobic workouts.

Thanks for your post, and everything else, Trish. You are a pleasure!

Thank you :)

I remember telling my work colleagues about that particular dream and was surprised at how many had dreams about going out and suddenly realising they were still in their night clothes. One lady said she had recurring dreams about arriving at work and it was only when she was going into a meeting that she realised she was wearing her pink fluffy house slippers! Actually, it was quite funny, as the guy from the post room was sitting at a desk nearby and, as we all went back to our own work, he said "I always dream that I wake up at work, NAKED!". You could have heard a pin drop as he stood up and sauntered off down the corridor. 🤭
