Medicare Benefits.

It's hunting season for seniors on Medicare in the US. The season closes Dec 7. 2021. The hunters are insurance companies trying to bag a Medicare account. According to all the "Benefits" TV ads, if i sign up with this insurance company, they will throw $100 bills at me, till my arms are filled, and it's all free, free, free. Well, maybe there might be a tiny, weensy, itty bitty fee for an Advantage program, but you get 'benefits", which can add up to major big bucks, depending on what "benefit' you choose. I find these ads misleading in that the 'benefits" in Advantage programs are insurance services, that you're paying for, and not part of Medicare.
I am just so tired of the TV ads, and my mail box stuffed with Medicare Advantage programs, during hunting season. I'd like to strangle Joe Nameth with his panty hose. J.J. Walker, too.

Joe Nameth must have run out of money, so now he's doing ads on TV. I push the silence button till he's done yapping.

He is on all year; Now we are getting a lot of new ones from Oct. to Nov. 7th when enrolment ends.:poop:

The place in my area where they send the new Medicare enrollees is called Insurance Services. Sounds like bureaucratic hell, with an otherwise empty office except for one person at an empty desk holding a phone in their hand. I made an appointment once but for some reason never made it there.

They are in business to make money, I don't begrudge them a profit; but half truths and small print to lure unsuspecting seniors is pretty tough to justify. Don't know how they sleep at night.
